Console versions of CDV Interactive’s Sacred 2 have been delayed until May 12. The publisher recently shot Kotaku a note, advising them of the date change, but not of the reason for it.

“Just a quick note to let you know that the release date for Sacred 2: Fallen Angel for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 has been changed,” the note reads. “The new retail release date is May 12, 2009. If you could update the entry in your database immediately, it would be appreciated.”

The title was originally slated to hit the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 later this month — information that I was more than aware of. For the past few weeks, I’ve been rubbing my hands together expectantly, hoping the UPS man would drop a version of game on my doorstep at any moment. My bloody palms thank CDV for the friction release as a result of the delay, I’m sure, but my brain is still eager to get its console loot-whoring on.

Oh well, I guess I’ll just go back to Too Human again.
