Connect 4: Super Mario edition is a thing that is happening

Nintendo is developing an exciting new analog gaming product called Connect 4: Super Mario. It’s just like Connect 4, except now the coins you insert into the slots have Mario and Luigi faces on them. How thrilling! It’s coming out this Spring for $24.99.

Perhaps a little more exciting is the announcement of The Legend of Zelda and Pokemon themed Monopoly sets. That Mario Monopoly set was pretty cool, right? The two new sets are expected to release in September for around $45.

Well Nintendo sure is delivering on their promise to extend the brand with licensing opportunities like this. As silly as the Connect 4 thing is, it will easily pull in the cash.
