College Football 25 players can’t believe just how hard Heisman difficulty’s AI is

I didn't expect it to be that difficult

The Heisman difficulty is supposed to be the ultimate test for College Football 25 players, and it’s managing to do that. However, a noticeable part of the community seems to have been taken by surprise at how difficult it is.
To make the gameplay accessible for all, EA Sports has included four different difficulty settings. While Freshman and Varsity are pretty suitable for the newbies, the All-American and Heisman are meant for the more experienced individuals. While nobody expects the highest difficulty to be a walk in the part, it’s even taking popular content creators like Bordeaux by surprise.

College Football 25 community shares the hardships of playing in Heisman

Bordeaux’s tweet about the Heisman difficulty perfectly sums up just how hard this setting is. But he isn’t the only one who has been suffering from the hardships. As one X user said, the Heisman seems to have been made by the Devil himself.

The Dark Souls series has a strong reputation in the world of video games when it comes to difficulty. I don’t recall playing a single Dark Souls title and feeling “well, this was easy”. X user @GhostPandaStorm commented that the Heisman difficulty is Dark Souls in the form of College Football 25.

Another user, @omsportsburner, hilariously said that the developers deserve “prison time” for this particular difficulty mode.

Such is the difficulty that X user @PSURecruitTalk feels like being put in a blender.

I feel that the Adaptive AI of the game also makes things different compared to the older game. The Adaptive AI tries to read the repeated plays you make and then reacts accordingly.

At lower difficulty, this won’t matter much for obvious reasons. Things are proving to be a lot different with the Heisman difficulty in which the AI is reacting in a lot more dynamic fashion.

On one hand, this makes defeating the AI extremely challenging. On the other, it’s allowing many, including Bordeaux himself, to love the challenge.

Some users also shared their own opinions that while this difficulty setting is a challenge, there are workarounds as well. For most of them, the big positive is the dynamic nature of the gameplay – something you might not necessarily expect when going up against AI-controlled teams.

New patches are expected in the upcoming days in College Football 25. It will be interesting to see if the developers reduce the general degree of difficulty from Heisman or if it continues to be a tough test for the community.
