Victor Hugo Queiroz is a Brazilian CG artist who takes a very cartoony approach to his work, resulting in an almost action figure-like quality. He’s done a number of pieces based on Street Fighter, such as the Blanka-Dhalsim showdown above. In the gallery below are a few more that feature Vega, Ryu, Hugo, and everyone’s favorite he-she, Poison.
He has yet another piece based on Mega Man Zero. This one in particular caught my eye because I remember seeing it before. Turns out it was one of the featured submissions in UDON’s Mega Man Tribute art book, which you really ought to buy if you haven’t already. Seriously, buy it.
Victor has a very appealing, dynamic style, one that Jonathan Holmes would totally like to see employed in the next Street Fighter game. Judge for yourself in the gallery or at Victor’s CGHUB page, where he also has a number of Marvel Comics-inspired pieces.
