If you have bitterness about Japan’s neverending array of colored consoles and portables, this bit will hopefully help to erase some of that simmering hatred. Per filings at the Federal Communications Commission, evidence points to Sony bringing the white PS3 to the good old US of A at the fine price of 39.980 Yen (about $374 dollars.)
The cover letter on file at the FCC shows Sony submitted the console to the FCC and the American Telecommunications Certification Body in October 2007, but asked to have it kept mum for the short term “to avoid premature release of sensitive information prior to marketing or release of the product to the public.” Damn Sony and their suspicious behavior. Don’t make me take action on your untrustworthy business, you hear?
I would like one as I am a sucker for white, but I am not a sucker for spending another chunk of green just because the new housing is pretty. It looks like the P.Diddy of consoles, doesn’t it?
