Developers CD Projekt RED have announced their new title at their Summer conference, based on the classic pen and paper Cyberpunk 2020. The original game was developed back in 1988 and the creator, Mike Pondsmith is working with a second CD Projekt RED team on the title.

Considering I’m almost always re-reading my favourite William Gibson books, I couldn’t be more excited for this. I’ll be interested to see how the developers switch from fantasy to hard sci-fi. There’s no release date or anymore info yet but this is definitely one to watch.

At the Summer Conference it was also revealed that The Witcher 2 has now gone onto sell 1.7 million copies on all platforms and that there will be a version of the fantasy RPG for Mac systems coming in the Fall. Witcher 2 will also be released in Japan on August 23rd.
