Bungie says that they’re not playing around anymore when it comes to Halo 3, and is warning the “naughty” to get ready (for something) in a message called Harbinger of Doom.
There are those of you doing things you shouldn’t be in Halo 3. Some of you have gotten a little too famous for your own good. This ain’t a church and there is no redemption or salvation once you have been judged. Apologies are now officially too late to save you.
The storm approaches.
Love, Bungie
That’s a pretty classy message in itself, but we like how they left it at that, giving no further details. Ars Technica wanted to know more, and found out through one of the members of their forum community (a Bungie employee) that the ban-hammer is almost ready to drop.
Forum member ferrex says, “Basically, we’re almost done dialing in the Banhammer, and a few people who helped us test Phase One are about to help us test Phase Two.”
It looks like they’re cracking down on network attacks, and right now they’re doing their best to make sure that no game issues will be confused for abusive behavior.
The end is nigh, cheaters.
