This morning, we’re not just talkin’ bout Bugsnax, but Bigsnax too. The adventure game about food-based monsters is launching its big free update, The Isle of Bigsnax, on April 28, and it’s bringing Bugsnax to new platforms in the process.

On April 28, Bugsnax will arrive on Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Windows 10 and Steam. It’s also hitting Game Pass on PC, Xbox, and Cloud too. This launch includes the free update, Isle of Bigsnax.

If you’re a previous owner of Bugsnax on PlayStation 4, PS5, or PC through the Epic Games Store, then good news! The Isle of Bigsnax is a free update, and you’ll be able to set off for the new adventures on the same date.

Bugsnax, bigger than before

Those are the release date details, but what’s up with the big Bugsnax? Well, the new update adds some story content to Bugsnax, Young Horses’ game about discovering and capturing monsters made up of food. Several voice actors are returning to voice their grumpus counterparts and dive into the mysteries of Isle of Bigsnax. Yes, it seems like the Bugsnax are supersized.

Alongside new content to explore, the base game is also getting some updates with The Isle of Bigsnax. New quests will be added from various grumpuses through the mail, and there are hats to acquire for your snax. The free update adds a hut decoration element too, so you can add that little touch of home to the mysterious world of Bugsnax.

Bugsnax was a fun and unique adventure, with many imaginative monster designs and puzzles inhabiting the island. It also had the catchiest theme song ever, one that’s been stuck in my head as I’ve been writing this news up. For those who love to be what they eat, it looks like this month will give you plenty of reason to return to the world of Bugsnax.

Bugsnax: The Isle of Bigsnax adds more to the meal on April 28 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
