If you’re not already sold on Double Fine’s Brütal Legend, your brain might be broken. But we can understand wanting to try before you buy, so we’re happy to hear a demo is on its way for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this September Septic-tember 17.
“Villagers have surround our offices with torches demanding the game,” says Double Fine’s Tim Schafer. “So we’re releasing a demo and hope that this taste of metal will keep the mob at bay until Brütal Legend comes out.”
There’s a non-functioning web page for info on the demo, which briefly hints that the demo may be a pre-order bonus. We should know more later, and will update with more information as we get it.
[Update: Schafer announced at gamescom today that the demo will be available on PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade on September 17. Post updated according. No word on it being a pre-order bonus, so it looks like everyone can partake in the demo this Septic-tember.]
[Update 2: We’ve clarified that the demo will be available to pre-order customers on September 17th at participating retailers. It will be exclusive for some time before it’s available for free on XBLM and PSN. Sorry for any confusion.]
