‘We did stuff’ – Randy Pitchford
During today’s fumble-filled PAX East Gearbox conference, amid technical difficulties, Randy “Magic Man” Pitchford announced that Borderlands 2 VR (remember that one?) is getting “all the DLC” from the original Borderlands 2 this summer. It’ll be a free update so you don’t need to buy all the DLC again separately (which would be a totally Gearbox thing to do).
More importantly, the Handsome Collection (which consists of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel) is hosting a free UHD (ultra-HD) update on April 3 for the PS4 Pro and Xbox One (if you own either on PC you’ll get UHD support too on that date). Handsome Collection has been around since March of 2015 kind of kicking the dirt, as one of many ways that Gearbox has monetized old Borderlands games.
In other Borderlands news, the first game is getting a remaster on modern platforms and Borderlands 3 was announced today on stage.
Roll for initiative in VR! We’re bringing you ALL the DLC for Borderlands 2 VR straight to your eye-holes! This FREE UPDATE goes live in Summer 2019! #PAXEast pic.twitter.com/BH0BA31sEd
