If that straight-the-point headline didn’t draw you in enough to watch the trailer, let me lay it out.

Lethal League developer Team Reptile is tapping into the style and sound of Jet Set Radio with its next game, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, and it looks convincing in all the ways it needs to look convincing.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is a graffiti-tagging adventure about sliding, grinding, and air-dashing to reach the perfect spots. The trailer is short, but there’s a lot of detail packed into those 14 seconds.

“With my life being about dancing, graffiti, design, and games, it really was inevitable for me to make this game,” said director Dion Koster. As the studio puts it, you’ll “start your own cypher and dance, paint, trick, face off with the cops, and stake your claim to the extrusions and cavities of a sprawling metropolis in an alternate future set to the musical brainwaves of Hideki Naganuma.”

The got him! They really got him. Check the requirements:

Naganuma compatible

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is coming to Steam, but “not this year, it’s unlucky.” 2021 it is.
