We’ve all been in that position. We’ve just come first place on a really grueling, frustrating track in the latest racing game, and we want to tell the world. But the computer is so far away and the phone is nowhere in sight. What do you do? Oh what do you do?

Fear no more, my friends, because Blur is integrating Twitter into the game itself, allowing you 140 characters of boasting glory and meaning you never have to leave the couch in order to show your friends how pathetic you are on a Friday night. So far, no details have been shared as to how this integration will manifest itself, but it’s certainly a trendy move. Makes you wonder why nobody else thought of it.

Blur will be all about social networking. It will feature in-game parody networks like “Inner Tube” (a most hilarious car-themed take on Youtube) and players will be assaulted by pretend emails and texts from AI racers. The inclusion of Twitter takes this one step further, allowing players to truly muddle the line between reality and twisted vehicular fantasy.

That kind of freaks me out.
