Bloodfiend’s Arm build in Elden Ring – location and build guide

Smashing time.

The Bloodfiend’s Arm is proving to be a very popular weapon in Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. It’s not hard to see why, as it scales great with Strength and Arcane, reasonably well with Dexterity, and it is a solid option for both Bleed and Arcane builds.

Where to get the Bloodfiend’s Arm

The Bloodfiend’s Arm can drop from Bloodfiends, large, hulking enemies that can be found in a few areas of the map. The best location to get the Bloodfiend’s Arm is a small area called Prospect Town, to the south of Belurat Tower.

You can get into Prospect Town by finding a slanted, ruined wall that gives you access to the upper region, as shown on the map above. There are two Bloodfiends at the lower level, but if you keep climbing up the ruins, you will come to a second group of them. There will be about seven of them here, so take them all out, and one of them SHOULD drop the arm. I am not sure right now if this drop is guaranteed or just a high chance, so farm it a couple of times if you need to.

Bloodfiend’s Arm Build in Elden Ring

For this build, you want to spec for Strength and Arcane. Strength improves the base damage of the weapon, while Arcane will increase damage from Hemorrhage status procs that are caused by Bleed. The reason Bleed is so strong is that the Hemorrhage will proc and do percentage damage, so it doesn’t matter so much if your enemies have a high health pool. You also don’t need to rapidly land hits in Elden Ring to get Hemorrhage to pop, meaning you can use it well on slower weapons like this one. Finally, there is no cooldown between procs, so you can spawn it over and over again in quick succession against bosses.

  • Two-Handed Sword Talisman – will increase the damage of wo-handed attacks. Can be found at the Temple Town Ruins.
  • Blade of Mercy – raises attack power by 20% for 20 seconds after each critical. This can be found at the top of the building at Scorched Ruins. This works well on the build as the Arm should cause a lot of poise-breaks and easy critical hits.
  • Lord of Blood’s Exaltation raises attack power by 20% for 20 seconds when blood loss occurs nearby. It drops from Esgar in the Leyndell Catacombs in the base game.
  • Two-Headed Turtle Talisman – can be found near the Rivermouth Cave and will greatly improve stamina recovery. The standard Green Turtle Talisman will also help, just not as effectively.
  • Armor – to suit your required resistances except for your helmet, which should be the White Mask for increased damage after causing blood loss from hemorrhage. White Mask can be gotten from slain Nameless White Mask enemies that spawn in Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum.
