How to play Prop Hunt in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
Prop Hunt is Call of Duty’s unique version of a classic hide-and-seek game. You’ll take on the role of a Hunter or Prop in a 6v6 match, beginning with 30 seconds on the clock. Props must use this time to hide while the Hunters remain dormant. Then, the fun starts when it’s time for the Hunters to take down the Props.
Once either side has been eliminated, you’ll switch to the opposite role you started with. So, if you began the adventure as Hunter, you’ll be a Prop in the following round. To win, you must conquer at least two out of three rounds. Though, it can end in a tie if both teams pull their weight.
How to play as a Hunter in BO6 Prop Hunt
The Hunter’s role is pretty easy to understand, where you must find and eliminate any Props. They can be almost anything, including a shelf, plant, or barrel. You’ll be spending a lot of your time shooting at everything, and if you’re lucky, you may end up hitting one of your foes.
In addition to your Tanto .22 weapon, you’ll have a Concussion Tactical to help you stun the Props. It’ll make it easier to slow down their movement for the kill. Any bullets or grenades you use will be replenished, so there’s no need to save up on ammo.
When the round begins, you’ll only have more than three minutes to find all the Props. Listen for any whistles to get a better idea of where they could be. If the timer runs out, you’ll lose this round but still gain another chance in the next one.
Prop abilities and the best strategies to stay alive in BO6 Prop Hunt
When you’ve assumed the role of a Prop, you’ll have to blend in with your surroundings to fool the Hunters. Every 30 seconds, you’ll sound off a whistle to help your opponents uncover your position. Keep track of the timer and watch for any nearby foes when the sound commences. The longer you stay alive, the more XP you’ll earn.
The best way to stay alive is to go up high places and lock yourself in an elevated position or hide in corners. Use decoys to throw off the Hunters more. You’ll have multiple interactions to utilize with the following skills:
- Slope: Tilts your Prop when the ground is slanted.
- Rotate: Change your position.
- See-Through: Make your Prop see-through so you can get a better angle of your position.
- Lock/Unlock Position: Stay in your position or exit out of it to escape the Hunter’s clutches.
- Stun (xs 3): Blind the Hunter’s field of vision.
- Decoy (xs 3): Place up to three copies of your current Prop.
- Change (xs 2): Change what object you are.
If you aren’t satisfied with your Prop, you can change it and find something that better suits you. You can also throw Stuns whenever an enemy happens to locate you, giving you time to run away. However, you’ll only have a certain amount of Stuns, Decoys, and Changes. Use them wisely to stay concealed.
The objects available in Prop Hunt will vary with each map. They’ll correspond to the location you spawned in, including mannequins from Nuketown or propanes from Subsonic.
