Instead of going 1v1 with an entire squad of 11, you pair up with three other players to go 4v4, where each of you picks one card from your Ultimate Team squad. As enjoyable as this particular game mode is, it can also be highly frustrating at times. While most of the frustration is down to how some teammates outright refuse to pass, here are some tips and tricks that will help you become a better player in the smaller mode.

Best tips and tricks for EA FC 25’s Rush mode

While Rush uses the same game engine, the smaller field and fewer players means you’ll also have to adapt accordingly.

  • Pick quicker players: Speed is critical, and this is irrespective of which position you pick. Having a player with a good pace will help you run back quicker and support your team in defense. In Rush, you’ll be running up and down a lot, so having pace on your player is key.
  • Pass the ball: A fundamental part of football in real life is passing the ball. There’s nothing more frustrating than running with the ball without passing to your teammates and then getting dispossessed.
  • Keep the tricks in check: Nobody wants to see your Rainbow Flick if it leads to a turnover and your team ends up going down by a goal. Yes, simple tricks like Ball Roll are immensely beneficial, but keep the 4 and 5-star skills in check.
  • Keep track of the objectives: A great way to get extra points is to pay attention to the bonus objectives and their conditions. Fulfilling them will help your teammates get extra points and complete the weekly objectives. There are some great packs to be won in the process.
  • Cover different positions: If you see that your teammates have already chosen attackers, don’t pick a striker. Instead, go for someone who can defend. This will help your team have a possible edge over your opponents.

Ultimately, Rush is very different than other EA FC 25 modes. But some factors are common – your abilities with the ball, sense of positioning, and reading your opponents. Do remember that some of your opponents/teammates can be better players, while others might be beginners. Ultimately, the main objective of Rush is to have fun, and get some great packs while completing the seasonal objectives.
