Best SVD Loadout in Call of Duty Black Ops 6

One shot, one kill.

The only semi-automatic sniper rifle in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and one of my all-time favorites, the SVD offers a great compromise by allowing you to shoot continuously while staying lethal no matter your distance from your target.

But as you can guess, unlocking the gun’s true potential as a true one-shot one-kill machine will demand both the right attachments and equipment. Here’s the best SVD Loadout in Call of Duty Black Ops 6.

Best SVD Loadout in Call of Duty Black Ops 6

As the bread and butter for the SVD will lie in quickly going into ADS while keeping your aim steady even after consecutive shots, we will start by adding the Muzzle Brake to lower its recoil/mitigate its kick and the Long Barrel for a welcome boost in range. As you can see in the image below, we will also add the Precision Handguard and the Recoil Springs fire mod to further boost the gun’s instability. To finish it up, we will go with the Fast Mag II to guarantee you will be able to switch to ADS in the blink of an eye.

If you want to further boost the weapon’s steadiness or don’t want to take your chances with a smaller magazine, going with either the Target Laser or the Commando Riser in place of the Fast Mag II can work great. To recap, here are the best attachments for the SVD sniper rifle in COD BO6:

  • Muzzle: Muzzle Brake / Using the Suppressor can also work for its ability to not give away your position after a shot.
  • Barrel: Long Barrel / Reinforced Barrel (Main alternative for its boost in range and bullet velocity)
  • Underbarrel: Precision Handguard
  • Magazine: Fast Mag II
  • Fire Mods: Recoil Springs

Best Equipment and Perks for the SVD

So that you can make sure you won’t be overwhelmed while on the move or spotted when in the perfect vantage point, we will be focusing on getting a set of three Recon perks to unlock its specialty. This is a must, as the latter will allow you to pinpoint the locations of all enemies after respawning, all while stopping you from leaving skulls after kills. I also consider the Overkill Wildcard a mandatory pick, as having two primary weapons will allow you to have an ace up your sleeve, as well as a gun fitter when the subject is rushing in or out of trouble.

To add to the above and close our loadout, you can check out the best equipment and perks for the SVD below.

  • Tactical: Smoke (A great tool when making quick getaways)
  • Lethal: Impact Granade / Sentex / Frag (All great options when dealing with groups)
  • Field Upgrade: War Cry or Scrambler / Using Morphine Injection can also work, as you will be able to easily get the kill needed to self-revive.
  • Perk #1: Ghost (Will make you undetectable unless you are engaging or sprinting)
  • Perk #2: Forward Intel (Will boost your minimap size and direct you toward revealed hostiles)
  • Perk #3: Vigilance (Will warn you when you appear on a hostile minimap and make you immune to the CUAV/Scrambler, as well as to the Sleeper Agent Field Upgrade). Equipping all of our recommended perks will give you access to the Recon Specialty.
  • Wildcard: Overkill (For the ability to equip two primary weapons).
  • Secondary Weapon: XM4 or KSV

Best BO6 Zombies SVD Loadout

A weapon capable of making quick work of some of the mode’s bosses as well as double as a devastating auto-shotgun once Pack a Punched, the best SVD loadout for COD BO6 Zombies will add the Light Stock, Target Laser, and Commando Riser comb to our overall best build. Among the three, the latter’s boost in ADS speed will help make up for the exclusion of the Fast Mag II magazine, as having to reload all the time equals death here. You can check out the best build for the SVD in Zombies below.

  • Muzzle: Muzzle Brake / Alternative: Suppressor (For its boost in the Salvage collection)
  • Barrel: CHF Barrel / Long Barrel (if under level 41)
  • Underbarrel: Precision Handguard
  • Comb: Cammando Riser
  • Stock: Light Stock (For a boost in overall speed)
  • Laser: Target Laser (For a boost in Aiming Idle Sway Delay and Aim Walking Steadness) / Alternative: Steady Aim Laser (Will fit in well with the gun’s ability to excel at the hip once Pack a Punched).
  • Fire Mods: Recoil Springs / 7.62X54MMR Overpressured

While any Lethal among the game’s selection can work given their similar effects when in Zombies, I recommend using the Stim Shot as your Tactical for its boost in survivability. Field Upgrade-wise, its ability to conceal you from enemy detection makes the Aether Shroud by far the best píck.
