Best Server Slam builds in Diablo 4

Taking down Ashava with ease

Recommended Videos

Let’s admit that the goal with this Server Slam event is to take down the world boss Ashava and claim the Cry of Ashava mount trophy. With that goal in mind, you should utilize a build that has some survivability and is able to get in, do some damage, and get out. Thankfully, all five classes have a pretty solid build to tackle Ashava.

These are the best Server Slam builds in Diablo 4. The builds assume that you have reached level 20 and are ready to take on the world boss.

Best Server Slam Barbarian build inĀ Diablo 4

Typically the goal of a Barbarian is to get in close and pump out as much damage as possible. However, with this specific build to take on Ashava you will have a bit of range with the skill Upheaval. Upheaval sends a shockwave through the ground, rending the earth and dealing physical damage in a frontal cone.

  • 1 point in Flay
    • 1 point in Enhanced Flay
  • 5 points in Upheaval
    • 1 point in Enhanced Upheaval
    • 1 point in Furious Upheaval
  • 1 point in War Cry
    • 1 point in Enhanced War Cry
  • 1 point in Rallying Cry
    • 1 point in Enhanced Rallying Cry
    • 1 point in Tactical Rallying Cry
  • 1 point in Challenging Shout
    • 1 point in Enhanced Challenging Shout
    • 1 point in Tactical Challenging Shout
  • 1 point in Leap
    • 1 point in Enhanced Leap
    • 1 point in Power Leap
  • 1 point in Booming Voice
  • 1` point in Raid Leader

The strategy for this build is to get in close and build fury using Flay. Once you’ve built enough fury and applied the Vulnerable debuff to Ashava, move out of melee range and start hitting her with Upheaval. Be sure to pop War Cry on cooldown to get the berserking buff and deal even more damage. You can also use Leap and Rallying Cry to further generate fury and keep hitting her with Upheaval.

Best Server Slam Druid build in Diablo 4

One of the overall best builds in the beta so far has been the Druid’s Landslide ability. The ability can be used at range and deal massive amounts of area of effect damage. With this build you generate Spirit using Storm Strike and then start wreaking havoc with Landslide.

  • 1 point in Storm Strike
    • 1 point in Enhanced Storm Strike
    • 1 point in Fierce Storm Strike
  • 5 points in Landslide
    • 1 point in Enhanced Landslide
    • 1 point in Primal Landslide
  • 1 point in Ravens
    • 1 point in Enhanced Ravens
    • 1 point in Ferocious Ravens
  • 3 points in Nature’s Reach
  • 1 point in Earthen Bulwark
    • 1 point in Enhanced Earthen Bulwark
    • 1 point in Preserving Earthen Bulwark
  • 1 point in Cyclone Armor
  • 1 point in Blood Howl

For this build, you will want to build Spirit and apply the Vulnerable debuff to Ashava using Storm Strike. Once you’ve maxed out your Spirit, move out of melee range and cast Ravens on Ashava followed by as much Landslide as you can. Cyclone Armor and Earthen Bulwark are both very strong defensive abilities when fighting this world boss as they provide resistance to her heavy poison damage. Cyclone armor does this passively while Earthen Bulwark can be used to instantly clear the poison damage stacks she may have built on you. Lastly, feel free to use Blood Howl if you need a quick heal.

Best Server Slam Necromancer build in Diablo 4

With the Necromancer getting a pretty hefty nerf to its Corpse Explosion build leading into this beta, we recommend the Bone Spear build. You will build Essence with Decompose and then spam Bone Spear while your minions beat on the boss.

  • 1 point in Decompose
    • 1 point in Enhanced Decompose
    • 1 point in Acolyte’s Decompose
  • 5 points in Bone Spear
    • 1 point in Enhanced Bone Spear
    • 1 point in Supernatural Bone Spear
  • 3 points in Skeletal Warrior Mastery
  • 3 points in Skeletal Mage Mastery
  • 1 point in Blood Mist
  • 3 points in Death’s Embrace
  • 1 point in Decrepify
  • 1 point in Book of Dead — Skeletal Warrior: Skirmishers (Upgrade 1)
  • 1 point in Book of Dead — Skeletal Mage: Shadow (Upgrade 2)

This build in particular is pretty easy to get an Ashava takedown with. After generating Essence with your Decompose, you can start hurling Bone Spears at the boss. The Bone Spear is guaranteed to apply the Vulnerable debuff which also increases the damage your minions do to her. Blood Mist can be used to purge the powerful poison damage stacks Ashava may apply on you. Decrepify will decrease the damage you and your minions are taking. Overall, this build feels very efficient for this specific boss fight.

Best Server Slam Rogue build inĀ Diablo 4

Rapid Fire has proven to be a strong ability for Rogue’s throughout the betas. It’s also strong as a build specifically for Ashava because when executed optimally you will be able to maintain your resource generation while staying a safe distance from the world boss.

  • 1 point Heartseeker
    • 1 point in Enhanced Heartseeker
    • 1 point in Fundamental Heartseeker
  • 5 points in Rapid Fire
    • 1 point in Enhanced Rapid Fire
    • 1 point in Advanced Rapid Fire
  • 1 point in Poison Imbuement
    • 1 point in Enhanced Poison Imbuement
  • 1 point in Shadow Step
  • 1 point in Dash
    • 1 point in Enhanced Dash
  • 1 point in Dark Shroud
    • 1 point in Enhanced Dark Shroud
    • 1 point in Countering Dark Shroud
  • 1 point in Deadly Venom
  • 1 point in Debilitating Toxins
  • Specialization: Combo Points

With this build, you want to build up to exactly three of your five combo points and start using Rapid Fire. This will keep the cycle of Heartseeker>Heartseeker>Heartseeker>Rapid Fire in a continuous loops to stay at rage and throw massive damage at the boss. Don’t forget to pop Poison Imbuement on cooldown to increase the damage your attacks are doing. Be sure to use Dash and Shadow Step to avoid any attacks she throws at you.

Best Server Slam Sorcerer build inĀ Diablo 4

Sadly the strong Sorcerer skill Hydra saw some nerfs heading into this beta. While we can’t recommend a fully specialized Hydra build like the previous beta, complimenting it with Fire Bolt and Firewall can still put out some massive damage.

  • 5 points in Fire Bolt
    • 1 point in Enhanced Fire Bolt
    • 1 point in Glinting Fire Bolt
  • 2 points in Hydra
    • 1 point in Enhanced Hydra
    • 1 point in Summoned Hydra
  • 3 points in Firewall
    • 1 point in Enhanced Firewall
    • 1 point in Mage’s Firewall
  • 1 point in Ice Armor
    • 1 point in Enhanced Ice Armor
  • 1 point in Flame Shield
  • 1 point in Teleport
  • 1 point in Align the Elements
  • Enchantment Slot: Firewall

With this build, you get to follow a pretty standard damage rotation. Make sure you always have a Hydra out; as soon as it despawns, cast it again. Meanwhile, cast Fire Bolt to build up to 30 Mana, then case Firewall when you are above 30 Mana. Utilize Teleport to dodge the attacks Ashava throws at you, while maintaining your Ice Armor and Flame Shield to mitigate the unavoidable damage.
