Best NBA 2K25 LeBron James build in MyCareer mode

Time to build the modern era GOAT

LeBron James is arguably one of the most complex builds to make in NBA 2K25 MyCareer mode.

In reality, LeBron is possibly one of those rare superstars who excels in both offense and defense. If you try to make a similar build with MyPlayer, the balancing act becomes very difficult. That said, I did manage to find a build from content creator Joe Knows, which has become my go-to choice. Having played with it for a few days, I can certainly vouch for its potential even as you slowly level up your build with VC.

NBA 2K25 LeBron James build potential overall

Before I get started with the build, do note that if you put 6’6 as your MyPlayer height, you’ll get better returns from this build. But we are creating LeBron, and he is 6’8 (so we go with his height). Here are the other key metrics:

  • Position: SF
  • Weight: 250 lbs
  • Wingspan: 7′

Let’s now take a look at the potential overall ratings.

  • Close Shot: 77
  • Driving Layup: 87
  • Driving Dunk: 87
  • Standing Dunk: 47
  • Post Control:79
  • Mid-Range Shot: 87
  • Three-Point Shot: 83
  • Free Throw: 65
  • Pass Accuracy: 82
  • Ball Handle: 81
  • Speed with Ball: 75
  • Interior Defense: 64
  • Perimeter Defense: 72
  • Steal: 60
  • Block: 74
  • Offensive Rebound: 80
  • Defensive Rebound: 65
  • Speed: 80
  • Agility: 66
  • Strength: 84
  • Vertical: 75

The first thing to note about the build is the relatively weaker defense – that’s a trade-off you’ll need to take. In return, you get a build that excels at layup. Layups are absolutely overpowered in the current meta. Make sure to use the LeBron layup package, which can be found in the animations store.

Additionally, you also have excellent stat coverages in both mid-range and 3-pointers. On the playmaking side, 82 Pass Accuracy allows you to enable the Gold Dimer badge. 75 Speed with Ball isn’t that efficient, but 81 Ball Handle makes it easy for you to dribble with ease.

Shooting right now is at a tough spot. With 80 Offensive Rebound, you’ll find yourself present near the glass and snagging a lot of poor shots from your teammates. This becomes even more essential if you’re playing a lot in The City.

That’s all you need to do in order to get this build up and running. While your initial attributes are low, pay a bit of attention to the defensive side of things. In offense, try to rely heavily on layups as they can be a huge difference-maker in the current meta of NBA 2K25.
