Best KSV loadout in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

Speed and power, all in one little package.

The KSV is a truly fearsome weapon in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, thanks to it being somewhat of a cross between an assault rifle and an SMG. With the right attachments, it can specialize into one of the other without losing its core identity of being a solid jack-of-all-trades.

The KSV is not unlocked at the start of the game and requires you to reach level 7 to gain access to it. A proper build with the KSV will allow it to engage enemies at all but the furthest ranges. Out of the box, it is a strong weapon, but proper customization makes it a powerhouse in the hands of an aggressor.

What is the best build for the KSV in Black Ops 6?

Despite its dual identity, the KSV is still an SMG at heart, which makes long ranges a bit of a challenge for it to compete in. This build focuses on reducing this ranged penalty as much as possible as the focus, since it does not have an issue dealing with enemies within its ideal range without attachments.

  • Optic: K&S Red Dot
  • Muzzle: Muzzle Brake
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Rear Grip: Assault Grip
  • Stock: Infiltrator Stock

The K&S Red Dot Optic allows you to have a clear line of sight with minimal obstructions, making it my favorite Optic for the KSV. Naturally, if you have your preference, feel free to use it over it, as the choice of Optic will not affect performance.

The KSV has a healthy bit of first-shot kick to it that isn’t ideal for dealing with longer ranges. As such, the Muzzle Brake significantly minimizes this kick and allows you to stay on target during a distant engagement.

For the Barrel, make use of the Long Barrel, as its entire purpose is to extend the Damage Range of the KSV, allowing it to deal more damage out to longer ranges. This helps you deal with enemies armed with ARs or Marksmen Rifles more effectively within their ideal ranges.

With the Assault Grip equipped, you will have a much faster Sprint to Fire Speed, allowing you to get your gun up as soon as possible when it’s time to fire rounds down range.

Finally, with the Infiltrator Stock equipped, you will be much more maneuverable when ADS (Aiming Down Sights). Faster ADS speed movement means you will be more difficult to hit, but you must adjust your aim as well due to the additional speed.

Best Equipment and Perks for the KSV in Black Ops 6

With this build, and despite the focus on improving the range of the KSV, you want to focus your loadout around SMG-based gameplay. As with all SMGs, speed and aggression are the name of the game.

  • Tactical: Flashbang or Stim Shot
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Field Upgrade: Morphine Injector or Trophy System
  • Perk 1: Gung-Ho
  • Perk 2: Assassin
  • Perk 3: Double Time
  • Wildcard: Danger Close

Using Danger Close combined with Semtex allows you much more easily to flush out entrenched enemies. The Semtex’s quick yet powerful explosion will earn you many kills if both are thrown within a room. Gung-Ho and Double Time allow you to stay on the move. All three Perks together will enable the Enforcer Specialization, which gives you a movement speed buff and faster health regeneration on kill. Finally, Morphine Injector gives you a Last Stand effect when you die, and a successful kill will revive you, allowing you to stay in the action longer. You can also use a Trophy System to lock down objectives.
