Best guns in Battlebit Remastered

Upgrade your arsenal with these recs.

If “Boomer Shooters” are the way to go for players who want fresh takes on the mechanics of DoomĀ andĀ Duke Nukem, thenĀ Battlebit Remastered is the game for players who enjoyed the golden age ofĀ Battlefield-like games before those got filled to the brim with unnecessary stuff. That’s not to say, however, that Battlebit Remastered doesn’t have a lot of stuff, as this back-to-basics fun-first shooter gives players a huge arsenal to pick from. What are the best weapons of the bunch?

AK74

Even though military shooters tend to paint Americans not simply as the good guys, but as theĀ best guys, most games still feature the Russian-born AKs as top-tier assault weapons.

Paraphrasing Samuel L. Jackson in the one Tarantino film people don’t quote too often, the AK is the very best there is when you absolutely positively have to kill every block-shaped enemy in a room. He’s talking about the AK-47, sure, but the AK-74 is just a smaller version of that, so the lesson is the same.

The AK-74 combines devastating firepower, good fire rate, and easy handlingā€”nothing like the famous AK from Counter-Strikeā€”to mow down every enemy in short, mid, and even long-range for it also features an awesome semi-auto fire mode.

M200

You can’t have a successful shooting game without a signature sniper rifle. Whereas Counter-Strike has the AWP,Ā BattlebitĀ has the M200.

The M200 is the most accurate weapon in Battlebit Remastered, naturally, but also the one that features the most powerful and fastest bullet in the game. This is the one to get if you want to achieve a lot of kills without having to deal with the likely unimportant input that the defunct proximity chat users have to provide about your mother.

FAL

The FAL provides a good alternative to the AK74 as an assault powerhouse.

Though it’s not as good as the AK for long-range firefights, it features great damage output, accuracy, and a speedy rate of fire that makes it one of the best possible picks for mid and short-ranged encounters.

This is the one for you if you want something that feels like an SMG but hits like an assault rifle ā€” because it is one.

MK-14 EBR (Enhanced Battle Rifle)

Don’t let all those years of hearing Counter-StrikeĀ badmouthing the G3SG1 for providing an “unfair” advantage deter you from trying out the power of a good DMR in Battlebit Remastered.

Though a semi-automatic rifle isn’t what you should have for short-ranged encounters, this beast excels at obliterating mid and long-range threats. The MK-14 is the best possible pick for players who want to play sniper but don’t want to feel too lonely because yeah, you can even use it in full-auto mode ā€” though it still won’t beat the AK in that department.

Camikaze78's Kriss Vector

Kriss Vector

The most sci-fi looking and sounding weapon in the game is no laughing matter ā€” even after getting nerfed.

This tiny thing boasts the best fire rate inĀ Battlebit without sacrificing much damage and also features great recoil control and accuracy. This is the best thing to have in your hands if you want to quickly dispatch nearby enemies and thus easily the best SMG in the game.

Groza in Battlebit Remastered

Groza

The Groza is a heavier and more versatile alternative to the Kriss Vector.

Whereas the Vector will immediately mow down an enemy in your vicinity like no other weapon in the game, the Groza sacrifices a bit of that kind of close-ranged prowess to also do well in mid-ranged scenarios.

The Groza feels like the best-possible mix between an SMG and an assault rifle.

P90

The P90 is yet another stellar SMG, one that performs excellently both on short-ranged and mid-ranged affairs.

It performs similarly to the Groza, but it’s harder to unlock (level 125), so this is the one to pick if you want to flex on your opponents.

M249 in Battlebit Remastered

M249

One of the reasons why Battlebit has captured the hearts of so many is that every class is fun ā€” yes, even support.

That means that there are at least a few cool weapon picks for support, but nothing comes that even close to the M249. This heavyset assault rifle is great to unleash a seemingly endless barrage of cover fire as it features the biggest magazine in the game, a decent projectile speed, decent damage, and is even fairly accurateā€”if you fire it in tiny, non-greedy bursts.
