Best Grace build in Zenless Zone Zero – Best Drive Discs, W-Engines, and team compositions

Get ready to shock your enemies to the core!

Her ability to apply Shock to targets at low intervals and massively buff its effect makes Grace both one of the Anomaly agents in Zenless Zone Zero and a cornerstone in many of the game’s best teams.

However, the above can also make her one of the trickiest agents to build. After all, should you go all out on Anomaly Mastery and Proficiency or pay close attention to other stats? To help you energize the battlefield. here’s the best Grace build in Zenless Zone Zero, as well as a few teams sure to allow her to showcase all of her expertise.

The best W-Engines for Grace in Zenless Zone Zero

Like with all S-Rankers, the best W-Engine for Grace in Zenless Zone Zero is her signature Fusion Compiler. Apart from its 684 base attack and 24% PEN Ratio values at level 60 (the latter which affects Anomaly DMG), the S-Ranker earns its spot by providing her with both a 12% ATK boost and the ability to get 25 Anomaly Proficiency per Special or EX Special performed (can be triggered three times for a 75 increase).

The latter is the star here, as Grace’s low-cost and easy-to-combo Special will allow you to trigger all separately accounted stacks almost instantaneously. All of the values above are related to the W-Engine at one star.

If you are using her on a team not featuring Jane or simply managed to get two copies of it, Sharpened Stinger is by far the best alternative for Grace and will offer a massive amount of ATK and Anomaly Proficiency (713 + 90) at level 60. Grace will also be able to make full use of the engine’s Anomaly buildup passive.

Best F2P W-Engine

If you have yet to acquire any of the above, the best F2P W-Engine for Grace will be a Weeping Gemini enhanced to at least four stars. When at the said rarity, the W-Engine will allow Grace to get a 38 Anomaly Proficiency boost after any team member applies an Attribute Anomaly to an enemy. The effect can be triggered up to four times for a 152 boost, with each stack being calculated separately. Grace will lose stacks when its related enemy is either defeated or recovers from stun.

Until you ascend the engine above to the recommended value, Rainforest Gourmet will be my main F2P pick given its great 75 Anomaly Proficiency boost at level 60 and ability to boost Grace’s ATK per 10 energy consumed.

Best Drive Discs for Grace in ZZZ

As an Anomaly sub-DPS, Grace will need all of the Anomaly Proficiency and Mastery she can get. To provide her with just that, the best Drive Discs for her in Zenless Zone Zero will be a 4-piece Freedom Blues paired with a 2-piece Swing Jazz.

While the 4-piece set will boost Grace’s Anomaly Proficiency by 30 and allow her to reduce the Electric Buildup Resistance of foes by 20% after hitting them with her EX Special Attack, Swing Jazz’s 20% Energy Regen boost will increase the availability of her EX Special and guarantee that she will always have it at hand. Pairing Freedom Blues with either a 2-piece Puffer Electro (for an 8% PEN Ratio boost) or Thunder Metal (for a 10% Electric DMG increase) can also work if you want to double down on her Shock and Disorder damage.

To further boost Grace’s DMG and ability to Shock, I recommend that you go with Anomaly Proficiency for your fourth disc partition, as well as with Electric DMG and Anomaly Mastery for the fifth and sixth ones. Substat-wise, focus on Anomaly Proficiency above all else. As your Anomaly DMG does not scale off your agent’s skill multipliers or Crit stats, there’s no need to focus on the latter here.

The best Grace teams in Zenless Zone Zero

As an Anomaly unit capable of applying Shock at record times, the best team for Grace in ZZZ will have her as its Anomaly sub-DPS, Jane Doe as its on-field DPS, and Caesar as its support. A team that excels on pretty much everything, this composition will use Grace’s ability to apply shock with minimal uptime and Caesar’s sturdy shield + massive buff to unleash Jane’s full potential and delete health bars.

If you don’t have Jane, using Piper in her role can work, albeit with a way lower impact. In Caesar’s case, I recommend going with either Seth or Rina. To recap, here are the best teams for Grace in ZZZ, as well as a great pure-Shock alternative:

  • Jane Doe + Grace + Caesar (Seth/Rina): Grace’s BIS team. A variation of this team featuring Seth in her place is also highly popular.
  • Piper + Grace + Caesar (Lucy/Rina/Seth): Piper’s BIS team and an extremely F2P-friendly pick if using either Lucy or Seth.
  • Anton + Grace + Rina/Caesar: Anton’s BIS team, will massively boost his damage through Grace’s ability constantly to trigger Shock and Caesar’s massive buffs. In Rina’s case, her DMG and Shock uptime buffs will guarantee that you will be able to keep your damage up even while your DPS is recharging.

Which Bangboo should you choose?

As all Grace teams will revolve around the Shock Anomaly effect, its ability to apply massive amounts of Electric Anomaly Buildup makes Plugboo the best pick for all of them. Thanks to its ability to perform the same role as our top pick, even if at a lower output, the A-Ranker Electroboo will be my second choice.
