Best GPMG-7 Loadout in Call of Duty Black Ops 6

Keep on firing!

The GPMG-7 is the ultimate suppression tool; capable of firing a staggering amount of lead down range at high speeds. As it comes, the LMG is an extremely potent piece of hardware, but with the proper attachments, it becomes a terror on the battlefield.

The GPMG-7 is for veteran agents, unlocking only once you’ve reached level 52. When properly built, this weapon leaves enemies little chance to escape its intense rate of fire, tearing through foes the moment theyā€™re in sight. Even behind cover, this build almost completely negates any possible protection they might have. There is no escape from the GPMG-7.

What is the best build for the GPMG-7?

As mentioned, the GPMG-7 has an insane rate of fire, allowing it to close off entire movement lanes while buzzing away. The best build takes full advantage of this, building around allowing the weapon to fire for longer periods without interruptions.

  • Optic: Merlin Reflex
  • Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
  • Magazine: Extended Magazine 3 or 4
  • Rear Grip: Commando Grip
  • Fire Mods: 7.62 NATO FMJ

The choice of Optics is up to your preference, but I’ve found the Merlin Reflex to be the perfect sight for staying on target and laying down lead. A clear sight is your best friend when firing the GPMG-7.

Equip the Reinforced Barrel to dramatically improve the gun’s Damage Range and Bullet Velocity, a much-needed addition to ensure you can shred targets even at the longest distances.

Thanks to its high rate of fire, the GPMG-7 runs out of ammo quickly in its magazine, which is why equipping the Extended Magazine 3 or 4 is practically a requirement for this weapon to function as intended.

Using the Commando Grip improves your ADS (Aim Down Sight) speed and Sprint to Fire speed for the GPMG-7. This is important because, as an LMG, its handling and mobility stats are quite poor. This attachment helps reduce these negatives.

Finally, the 7.62 NATO FMJ Fire Mod attachment is what makes this LMG a nightmare for the enemy team. Cover becomes nothing but a stopgap for your bullets, as you watch them shred through and kill your intended targets.

Best Equipment and Perks for the GPMG-7 in Black Ops 6

The ideal Equipment and Perks for using the GPMG-7 focus heavily on taking advantage of the 7.62 NATO FMJ Fire Mod attached to the weapon. Cover is an obstacle that you significantly negate with the following loadout:

  • Tactical: Spy Cam
  • Lethal: Molotov
  • Field Upgrade: Assault Pack
  • Perk 1: Flak Jacket
  • Perk 2: Dispatcher
  • Perk 3: Quartermaster
  • Wildcard: Danger Close

Spy Cam allows you to spot enemies for your team, highlighting them even through walls for a few seconds. However, this is highly valuable for you as those few seconds are enough for you to tear into cover where an enemy is hiding, ripping them to shreds. Open with your Spy Cam for most mid-long range engagements, then take aim. Molotovs are for getting your foes out of cover as well. Using the Assault Pack along with Quartermaster lets you keep a healthy supply of Spy Cams and Molotovs at your disposal.

All three Perks enable the Strategist Specialization which lets you see any equipment through walls (which you can also destroy) while speeding up your Equipment throw speed. Finally, Danger Close gives you two Molotovs instead of one, to keep your foes running in the open.
