The Bulwark is one of the two melee classes you can build in Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, and if you want the best setup, here’s what you can use.

The build will be broken down into what weapons you should use along with perks. Note that these may be unavailable to you if you’re a new player given that you need to level up quite a bit and play higher difficulties to earn better weapon tiers and Mastery Points.

Weapons

Plasma Pistol – Ophelian Liberation

Perks: 

• Fast Venting
• Rampage
• Supercharged Shot
• Great Might
• Plasma Collection
• Efficient Charge
• Retaliation
• Fast Venting (Relic)

This Plasma Pistol build is used mostly for ranged targets if you need to do so. It’s also used for bossing since there aren’t many reliable ways to get armor back in the event that you take damage. 

If you do not have this variant of the pistol yet, don’t worry. The weapon itself even at base level is very capable of dealing lots of damage.

Power Sword – Gathalmor Crusade

Perks: 

• Armored Strength
• Master of Offence
• Perpetual Strength
• Momentum Gain
• Fencing Blade
• Chaos Slayer
• Hard Target
• Reeling Blow
• Majoris Slayer
• Terminus Slayer
• Speed Restoration

With this build, you focus on light attacks, stance switching, parrying, and finishers. Light attacks will make you considerably tanky as parries and finishers keep your armor up. 

This is assuming that you are consistent with performing parries and finishers since this weapon will benefit greatly mostly from crowd control.

Best Bulwark Perks

• Core: Forward Momentum, Armor of Contempt, Armor Reinforcement
• Team: Effective Formation
• Gear: Focused Strength, Purity of Purpose, Inspiration
• Signature: Armored Advance

With this setup for your Bulwark, you’re getting a lot of damage reduction and damage output increase. Paired with the other weapons, you’ll be able to take on any level in Operations Mode with ease. You’ll also be the one to tank a lot of the intended damage while your other teammates can help you from afar.
