Gust has revealed via Famitsu that it is working on a brand new RPG, Atelier Rorona, for the PlayStation 3. Although only confirmed for Japan so far, it seems doubtful that the game won’t follow previous Gust RPGs and find its way to North America.
I’ve only played one Atelier game before, Atelier Iris on the PlayStation 2. It was a pretty fun RPG too, so I’m glad to hear that more is coming. Besides which, who could refuse another solid RPG on the PS3? Not me, because I’m not a git.
So far there’s no information on what this new game in the Atelier series will bring, apart from a phrase that accompanies the Famitsu spread — “I’m tired of saving the world.” According to some Web site we stole the scans from, this is the catchphrase of Atelier Marie, a character from the franchise’s “Salburg series.”
More details will be coming out on March 27, so stay tuned for that!
