Slow down, Ezio!
While we’ve already reported on the rumor of an Assassin’s Creed remastered collection hitting PS4 and Xbox One, it looks like the game got confirmed via a French publication called Gameblog. Google translate may not be the best at working out text, but some nice details are revealed in the post, including mentions of a November 2016 release date along with 1080p resolution and a 30 frames per second lock.
This collection contains Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed Revelations. The post also mentions that all DLC will be included for each game and the package will contain both of the films that feature Ezio (those being Assassin’s Creed: Lineage and Assassin’s Creed: Embers). The price is, supposedly, 70 euros. That would be roughly 80 US dollars, but I doubt Ubisoft would charge that much.
While I actually kind of enjoyed Assassin’s Creed II, I don’t know if there is much point in porting this with such a low frame rate. The only tangible improvement will be in texture quality, which should be fine as Assassin’s Creed II has always been an ugly game.
There isn’t anything about whether or not the multiplayer will be carried over, but if we go by some other HD collections as of late, I’m going to say no. I suppose this is still a rumor, so take most of the news with a grain of salt.
