Where to Meet Fuladh

In order to track down Fuladh, you must head to the west of the Harbiyah Bureau. As you get close a cutscene will trigger, and Basim will meet up with Fuladh. As you scope out and Fuladh scope out the Damascus Gate Prison, you begin to hatch a plan. Basim has a Khidmah token, a rare currency that can be exchanged for favors amongst the people of Baghdad.

With this knowledge, you’re given the task to Liberate Ali ibn Muhammad by infiltrating the Damascus Gate Prison. Also, for the first time, Assassin’s Creed Mirage starts to open up, giving you some non-linear options for tackling this task.

How to Breach the Prison in the Jailbreak Mission

First, you want to take control of Enkidu and scout out the prison. You’ll quickly notice it’s very heavily guarded, so you won’t be able to just walk in the front gate. You have two options available as far as how to breach the prison:

  • Speak to the merchant — Enlisting the help of the merchant requires 1x Merchant Favor Token.
  • Speak to the rebel — Joining up with the rebel requires 1x Rebel Favor Token.

You can acquire more Favor tokens by completing assignments from the board at the Bureau in Harbiya. I chose to go the route of enlisting the help of the merchant because I had a Merchant Favor Token. Both should get you into the prison, however.

The merchant instructed me to pick up a chest and follow him into the prison as if I were helping him transport goods. Once inside the quest objective updated to Find and liberate Ali.

Where to find and liberate Ali

After sneaking inside, you’ll want to make your way up the stairs and across the corridor then back down the stairs on the other side. If you keep things stealthy, this can be extremely easy. Eventually you’ll find a series of hanging sheets that you’ll make your way through, finding a captive rebel on the floor in the back. He’ll tell you that Ali is in the basment.

Now I actually got stuck here for a minute a little while. It can be hard to see where to go next. But if you look in the screenshot above, that’s where you want to go. There’s a small hole above the shelves in this room. Jump up there and you will proceed into the next room taking out a couple more guides. Work your way around to unlock the door and proceed further down where you will finally find Ali tied up and guarded by a single guard. Take out the guard and free Ali.

Escape the Damascus Gate Prison

Now for the easy part. Head up the series of stairs, unlocking the doors along the way. Once you get outside, you’ll see a swarm of guards. Ignore them. Immediately look to your right and you should see a rope that you can glide down, thus escaping the prison.

And with that, you’ve completed the Ali ibn Muhammad Investigation!
