Remember when an Assassin’s Creed was announced for the PlayStation Vita back in August? Ubisoft snuck the announcement amidst what would eventually become their launch line-up for the Vita in February of this year. We may now know some of the possible details of the title (if a thread on NeoGAF is to be believed), including supposedly its name: Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation.
Set to release the same day as Assassin’s Creed III (October 30th), Liberation will be a separate tale that doesn’t link to Desmond’s, take place in New Orleans. It will also have “multiplayer specifically tailored for the Vita experience”, feature the same traditional gameplay as the rest of the Assassin’s Creed series, and will put you in the shoes of a female assassin named Aveline. Presumably, we’ll hear more about the game this week at E3.
