In the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu, Marvelous Interactive announced that Arc Rise Fantasia is Wii-bound. The title is in the capable hands of developer Image Epoch, the guys responsible for the Nintendo DS strategy RPG Luminous Arc. Before American Wii owners’ mouths start foaming, it is important to note that a translation has yet to be announced.
Arc Rise Fantasia is set to be a traditional RPG, with a turn-based battle system and heavy strategic elements. The game revolves around the concept of big, scary dragons, and an empire’s inability to kill them easily. Apparently, when dragons are killed in Arc Rise Fantasia’s fantasy world, they release a poisonous gas. At one point these reptilian Zeppelins were willing to steer clear of the major cities of the empire, but now as they move in a gigantic horde towards the capital, someone has to stop them. Enter the dashing protagonists.
No release date has been announced as of yet, but isn’t it exciting to finally hear about a legitimate RPG experience for the Wii?
