Amid Evil is a dark fantasy FPS with an old-school look

Publisher New Blood Interactive’s latest project looks like it’s from a different era. Amid Evil, like New Blood’s Dusk and Rise of the Triad before it, channels id-era aesthetics in a modern day package.

Amid Evil has some major Heretic vibes. Its reveal trailer is full of dark cathedrals and imposing knights, as well as first-person melee and magical combat. 

It’s been a while since there was a good medieval FPS, and something tells me that Amid Evil wants to change that. According to the publisher, the game will include seven unique episodes, non-linear levels, and legions of enemies to destroy when it releases in 2018.
