All XDefiant weapons and how to unlock them

At the start, XDefiant’s entire weapon collection may seem out of reach. However, the journey to acquiring these powerful tools is filled with various challenges, each tailored to a specific gun.

This guide is your key to understanding all XDefiant weapons and the exhilarating path to unlocking them. 

How to unlock all weapons in XDefiant

Weapons are divided into seven categories: Assault, SMG, Shotgun, LMG, Marksman, Sniper, and Secondary Weapons. Each section provides at least one gun initially, but the rest will require a challenge to complete. Take a look at all XDefiant Weapon Challenges and what they unlock:

While each XDefiant Weapon Challenge is straightforward, some gameplay terms might need clarification for beginner shooter players. For instance, Hipfire Kills refer to eliminating enemies without aiming down sights, usually at close range. Point-Blank Kills require you to be even closer to foes, within a distance of less than five meters (aiming is allowed for this one). 

As for Quick Swap Kills, these eliminations can be achieved after switching your weapon. The rest of the XDefiant challenges will take a few matches to complete, giving you time to familiarize yourself with each class. The only weapon not associated with the challenges is the MDR, which will unlock at tier 10 in the Battle Pass. 

Other tasks are available for more rewards, including Devices and Faction Characters. These objectives generally focus on Faction-specific playthroughs and the usage of equipment. Daily challenges are also included to maximize XP. If you have yet to get the DedSec Faction, you can get it for free by completing the 700,000 XP task or exchanging 1,000 XCoins (in-game currency).
