All S Rank requirements – Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways DLC

Good luck again!

The Resident Evil 4 remake brought back the age-old RE ranking system, as something for folks to strive to complete after their first playthrough. Thankfully, Separate Ways brings that mechanic back into the fold for the DLC, and has its own separate (ha) set of rankings. Here’s a full breakdown of what you’ll need to rank highly in every difficulty setting.

All Resident Evil 4 remake Separate Ways S rank requirements

S rank requirements are fairly lax, as they allow you to use NG+ runs, and do not limit the amount of saves you can trigger. In other words, if you die/lose a ton of time, you can manually exit the game and come back to a save file to continue your speedrun so the clock doesn’t continue to tick.

Here are all of the S rank times you’ll need to clear:

  • Assisted mode: 1:30:00 (under an hour and a half)
  • Standard mode: 2:00:00 (under two hours)
  • Hardcore mode: 2:30:00 (under two hours, 30 minutes)
  • Professional mode: 2:30:00 (under two hours, 30 minutes)

The same rules apply to Separate Ways as they do in the core game. You need to use a fresh file and not continue along with any NG+ runs. You also have a save limit of 10 total saves for Professional mode: so make sure they count!

  • Assisted mode: 1:30:00 (under an hour and a half) using a fresh save
  • Standard mode: 2:00:00 (under two hours) using a fresh save
  • Hardcore mode: 2:30:00 (under two hours, 30 minutes) using a fresh save
  • Professional mode: 2:30:00 (under two hours, 30 minutes) using a fresh save and a limit of 10 saves
