All new quality of life updates in Genshin Impact 4.6

Improved treasure compass

Treasure compasses will be receiving a big update in how they work. Each region has its own treasure compass that, when equipped to your gadget slot, points the way to the nearest unclaimed chest in the open world. In the new update, treasure compasses will mark the chest on your map instead of providing a directional indicator.

More consistent nicknames and new avatars

If you set a nickname for a friend, that nickname is only visible in your friends list. Starting in Version 4.6, nicknames will also be applies to co-op join requests and other co-op interfaces. No more accidental rejections because you didnā€™t recognize your friend!

In addition to expanding the nickname system, youā€™ll also have access to new player avatars. Instead of just a picture of your favorite Genshin Impact character, youā€™ll be able to choose from a variety of cute illustrations based on the World Quests youā€™ve completed.Ā

More customizable map settings

Version 4.6 will add toggle settings to your main map to allow you to filter out custom map icons or any non-domain teleporters.

The region selection screen will also be wider to allow for two columns to be shown. No more scrolling when you want to fast-travel to your teapot!

Serenitea pot improvements

Speaking of teapots, the Serenitea Pot will also receive several new functions.

When trying to craft a set or replicate another playerā€™s layout, a new menu will allow you to quickly identify what furnishings you donā€™t have and then add them to a list. You can then go to Tubby to begin crafting the items on the list.

Tubbyā€™s creation queue will also be expanded from five items to ten, doubling your crafting output. There will also be a ā€œobtain allā€ button, allowing you to claim all finished furnishings at once. If any are unfinished, you will be able to use Vials of Adeptal Speed to instantly complete crafting.

The filter and search functions will be optimized to let you more quickly find the exact chair youā€™re looking for.

The realm music players will also be updated to show both song names and their corresponding Spincrystal number. This will let you easily identify which track is which and find out if youā€™re missing any Spincrystals.

Quest UI improvements

Quests will now indicate if there is a specific quest item needed to complete them. Reputation requests will also be highlighted in pink to differentiate them from other miscellaneous quests. A new toggle will activate focused experience mode, allowing you to progress with a chosen quest while negating character/location conflicts with other quests.

When will these updates happen?

The changes detailed here are set to be implemented in Version 4.6 of Genshin Impact, which is set to release on April 24, 2024.Ā
