Most games have a selection of NPCs that can be interacted with in order to unlock new conversations and maybe even tidbits of lore. Palworld is no different, and although most NPCs don’t offer much, they’re worth talking to if you’re nearby.
You can talk to most of the NPCs in Palworld; a good rule of thumb is that if they have a health bar next to them, you can get a conversation out of them. This includes PIDF Officers and Villagers in the settlements, like Duneshelter and Fisherman’s Point. One of the Villagers in Duneshelter gives you wool.
Finding NPCs via Fast Travel Points
There are nine ‘main’ NPCs, all located in the Forest biome. If you’re trying to capture human characters, these NPCs can be captured and put onto your base. In addition to this, some of them give small rewards which, while not game-changing, are definitely helpful, especially at the beginning of your adventure.
With the exception of the Reincarnated Guy, these NPCs are located next to campfires on beaches, for the most part. These campfires give off plumes of smoke that can be seen from a fair distance away. Try not to mistake them with the Thug camps, which have larger smoke plumes.
