All keycard piece locations in Disney Dreamlight Valley

During your adventures in Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Monsters, Inc. Realm, you may discover a keycard piece or two and wonder what they do. The game gives little information on its purpose since it’s not directly part of the main quest line, so we’re here to provide the details you need.

Keycard piece locations in Disney Dreamlight Valley

You can find three keycard pieces in Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Monsters, Inc. Realm. All three are within the main Laugh Floor area, where you first meet Sulley and Mike. Below is a brief rundown of their locations:

1. Inside a wooden box at a desk in front of the Laugh Floor entrance.
2. Inside a filing cabinet next to the third desk.
3. On a desk at the back of the Laugh Floor, next to a computer monitor.

The first keycard piece is inside a wooden box on a filing cabinet. If you’re starting from the Laugh Floor’s entrance, go directly forward to the first desk and turn left to find this filing cabinet nearby. Open it to spot the first keycard piece.

The second keycard piece is also in a filing cabinet at the middle desk in the Laugh Floor area. It is the third desk, aligned with the F3 wall print. If you’ve already solved the three bay door clues for the Monsters, Inc. Realm quest line, you can head to its door to find the nearby desk and filing cabinet.

The last keycard piece is on the fifth desk on the Laugh Floor. This desk is at the back of the area, next to the two red toolboxes and the empty F5 door space. Head here to find the keycard piece next to the computer monitor.

Now that you have every keycard piece, it’s time to begin crafting and unlocking some doors.

How to use keycard pieces in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Once you have all three keycard pieces, head to any nearby crafting bench and enter the ‘Functional Items’ tab to find a repaired keycard recipe. Use your three pieces to make this keycard before returning to the Monsters, Inc. Realm once more.

After crafting the repaired keycard, return to the empty door space at F5 you visited to find the third keycard piece. However, rather than going to the desk, you’ll want to interact with the terminal next to the empty doorframe to use the keycard, causing a door to appear. While you can’t enter this door, you’ll find a green chest with the Monster Eye Stalks hat accessory and a sticky note to add to your Monsters, Inc. memory collection.
