Winning over the affections of a hostess like Kaname in Like a Dragon Gaiden’s Cabaret Club minigame takes heart. Three hearts, to be specific.
Kaname is one of three girls working at The Castle’s cabaret establishment. And much like those in Sotenbori, you’ll have to navigate through a treacherous Q+A session to win her affections in this FMV game. Kaname is an aspiring pin-up model, but she’s also got some other hobbies you can learn about throughout your cabaret sessions in Like a Dragon Gaiden.
How to up your Affection with Kaname
Winning over the hostesses means building up your big Affection meter in the top-left corner. Once you’ve cleared the mark and answered a question correctly, you’ll add a heart; score three of those, and you get a special FMV, concluding the romance plot.
In my experience, there are varying ways of going about this. Ordering drinks can help a lot, but it’s also expensive, especially when tacked onto the ¥10,000 you’re spending to enter the cabaret club in Like a Dragon Gaiden. Gifts are nice, and by late-game in Gaiden, I had more than I could have needed to hand out.

Completing Kaname’s Cabaret Club romance
After accruing three hearts and offering her the best responses, you’ll max out the Kaname Cabaret Club romance in Like a Dragon Gaiden. From here, you’ll be treated to a text adventure description of a date between her and Joryu, which then turns into a little rendezvous at the pool.
We can’t share the pictures here, but suffice to say, it’s one of the more salacious FMV scenes in this minigame. Whether you’re here for the plot or just for the achievement, either way, you’ll get the Kaname’s Crush achievement in the Akame Network and a hefty sum of points to go with it.
