It's time to lay back and relax in the jungle.

After entering Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Lion King Realm, meeting Timon and Pumbaa, and taking your first Hakuna Matata lesson, you’ll repeat the process again during a new day. This time, Pumbaa will teach you to relax, requiring you to build a hammock out of vines and tree sap.

How to find Jungle Vine and Palm Tree Sap in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Upon starting the Relax quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, Pumbaa will ask you to collect two batches of palm tree sap and six jungle vines. You’ll find both in the Lion King Realm, but they can be tricky to spot if you’re unsure what to look for.

Palm Tree Sap location

Starting with the palm tree sap, you’ll spot this bright yellow-orange substance on the trees near Timon and Pumbaa’s camp. If you’re still with the two characters, turn toward the cliffside wall until you spot two palm trees, each with a peculiar orange goop on their trunk. The trees are next to each other, so you won’t have to leave the area to find the second.

From here, stand in front of the tree near the sparkles to harvest the sap and knock out the first half of this objective.

Jungle Vines locations

Next are the six jungle vines you must find to craft the relaxing hammock for Pumbaa. However, although you need six vines, there are only three plants to locate. Each one gives two vine pieces, so don’t be surprised if these are slightly tricky to find.

Fortunately, the trees from before have one of the three vine plants next to them. In between the two trees, you’ll spot a small green plant with no leaves or flower growing out of a dirt patch. It’ll look slightly like a herb patch, with three scattered throughout the realm.

However, there’s a chance the locations differ for each player, so you may not necessarily spot the jungle vine plant here. Nonetheless, it’s worth checking this spot just in case.

The second vine plant is near the river where you used the Bottle of Worries in the Finding Old Friends quest. After descending the log bridge, you’ll spot the vine near the water.

The last vine is near the oasis. Once you enter the area, you’ll find the plant near the water again. This is the last jungle vine of this quest, so make sure to revisit the other spots if you’re missing some.

Once you have the vines and sap, return to Pumbaa to advance the Relax quest. Now you’re one step closer to unlocking Pumbaa and Timon as villagers.

How to use Jungle Vine and Palm Tree Sap in Disney Dreamlight Valley

After returning to Pumbaa and telling him about the jungle vines and tree sap, he’ll tell you how to make a relaxing hammock. Head into the crafting bench you built earlier in the Finding Old Friends quest to find the recipe under Functional Items.

Once you craft the hammock, return to Pumbaa to set it up, bringing you one step closer to completing the Relax quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
