EA Sports has released TOTW 1 players in EA FC 25, and it marks the start of Team of the Week festivities in the new game.

Every week, EA Sports will release unique cards for the best performers from the world of football. These cards have better stats than their base versions, along with the new playstyles. These cards can be found in any pack that contains Rare Gold Players, but the odds of packing one will be pretty low. That said, let’s take a look at who has made it to the first Team of the Week in EA FC 25.

TOTW 1 is headlined by none other than Lionel Messi. In EA FC 24, we had to wait a few weeks to get a special card for the Argentine magician. This year, it’s pretty different, and Messi is joined by some fantastic footballers from all over the leagues and globe.

While Messi might be your favorite choice in this lot, there are some other amazing contenders. Theo Hernandez could be the best LB in the game for at least a month, while Gabriel could be a great addition at the back. Yamal’s TOTW 1 item will be incredibly important in the metagame, despite a relatively low overall rating.
