Picking the right duelist can be the key differential between an overwhelming victory and a crushing defeat in Marvel Rivals, as they are responsible for stacking eliminations and breaking the opposition either from vantage points or within their lines.

True to that, knowing who the best in the class are is necessary to avoid headaches. For all looking to climb the ranks fast, here are all Duelists in Marvel Rivals, ranked.

18. Wolverine

For as much as it hurts me to say, Wolverine is not the best in what he does in Marvel Rivals, as his lack of movement speed and in-combat mobility makes him an easy target to pick up, no matter if you are using a ranged or close-range focused hero. His passive also hurts more than it helps, as even if under the effect of Undying Animal, the above will cause Logan to find himself at death’s door before being able to build it up.

17. Storm

Although Storm’s ability to offer both buffs and debuff enemies can make her just as valuable as a support as she can be as a damage dealer, her lack of movement speed makes the Omega Mutant the easiest to pick out among the game’s flyers. If you manage to stay alive, however, her ultimate can be considered one of the game’s best and can clear entire teams in seconds.

16. Namor

Unlike all other Duelists within the class, Namor is a character that specializes in controlling spaces, as all of his offensive skills ā€”except for his excellent AoE-focused Ultimateā€” rely on either spawning or directing his minions. But that also becomes his biggest weakness, as his lack of DPS and speed make the Sub-Mariner easy prey for pretty much all capable of escaping his range, diving in quickly, or putting him out of position.

15. Black Widow

The game’s sniper-focused hero, Black Widow is a character that excels given her ability to deal great amounts of DMG no matter the distance, all while being able to hold her own in close range by using her batons. Her biggest downside, however, lies in her low damage when compared to other characters capable of filling the same role, such as Hawkeye, whose playstyle feels like an improved version of hers in every possible way.

14. Black Panther

A beast when the subject is getting the last hits, Black Panther is a hero who makes up for his low out-of-combat mobility through his ability to chaim dashes and long-range abilities at quick intervals, all while regenerating health through his Vibranium Mark passive. But his overreliance on the effect can also be his undoing, as his low damage and movement speed make him an easy target in honest confrontations against ranged heroes.

13. Star-Lord

Marvel Rival‘s Tracer-equivalent, Star-Lord’s ability to quickly engage and get out of trouble by performing Stellar-Shift and Rocket Propulsion allows him to easily get dualists and supports alike in the backfoot. Just don’t be greedy, as unless you are in his Galactic Legend state, his low magazine will demand pitch-perfect precision.

12. Squirrel Girl

A character that, like Luna Snow, was not in anyone’s bingo card, Squirrel Girl has one of the most all-rounder kits among the duelists in Marvel Rivals, as she can stay a menace at range while having in Mammal Bond a great jack-of-all-trades option. Although not able to deal significant damage, her Unbeatable Squirrel Tsunami can also be a great tool when in closed quarters.

11. Winter Soldier

Another great all-round pick, Winter Soldier has a simple but extremely effective kit, which sees him make up for his low fire speed with the ability to easily launch and open up enemies, The star of the show here, however, is by far his Ultimate ā€”Kraken Impactā€” which allows Bucky to set up big plays against vanguards through his Culling Mark effect.

10. Iron Man

The game’s top-tier when the subject is aerial combat, Iron Man shines through his ability to offer unmatched aerial support through his high mobility and damage per hit. However, his biggest differential when compared to Star-Lord and Storm lies in his Invincible Pulse Cannon Ultimate, which hits in a large AoE and deals 1000 DMG. Yeah, you read that right.

9. Scarlet Witch

Although a glass-canon, Scarlet Witch is a character capable of bringing down even the mightiest foe within seconds if under the right circumstances, all while having in her Dark Seal a great tool for setting up big plays and in her Ultimate an atomic bomb capable of one-shotting all in a medium AoE. Her Mystic Projection can also be considered one of the game’s best get-off moves, as it allows you to reposition yourself mid-fight in a flash.

8. Psylocke

One of the game’s best when the subject is getting in and out undisturbed, Psylocke is just as deadly from range as she is from up close, the latter given her excellent Psi-blade Dash and combo potential. Her Ultimate ā€”Dance of the Butterflyā€” also brings her to a whole new level and allows you to show all how sharp her katana is within a large AoE.

7. Magik

Known for her in-your-face style, Magik thrives when the subject is performing unpredictable and highly damaging mix-ups, many of which see opponents being lunged upward for an easy kill or left guessing after she dives into her portals. But don’t go thinking she will be easy to pick up, as her low movement and normal attack speed will make her an extremely execution-heavy pick and one who will most likely pay for every mistake with her life.

6. Moon Knight

A solid pick no matter what, Moon Knight’s ability to quickly cover the map by either gliding or grappling pairs perfectly with the way he can quickly clear and set up kills against grouped enemies with pretty much all of his kit. Trigger-happy players might also find a home here, as the Khonshu Avatar is considered by many to be among the easiest duelists when the subject is getting headshots.

5. The Punisher

The easiest-to-pick-up hero in Marvel Rivals and one of its most frustrating to face when using flyers, The Punisher is a walking arsenal capable of quickly melting the health bar of all, no matter the range, by unloading his Assault Rifle, Shotgun, and Torrent. Also, did I mention his ability to awaken his inner D.VA by performing his Ultimate?

4. Hela

Although her kit might seem simple when compared to most in our top 10, Hela pairs her huge health pool and damage per hit with, for many, the game’s best traversal. The way she can both mark targets for death by performing Piercing Night and eliminate even the mightiest of Vanguards by performing Goddess of Death also helps her rule the battlefield when in the right hands.

3. Spider-Man

Just like he must calculate the vectors before every swing, Spider-Man’s reliance on his Cyber-Web Cluster makes him one of the most execution-demanding heroes in Marvel Rivals. But don’t let that intimidate you, as although it might take you a while to master him, Spidey’s ability to deal massive damage to enemies marked by Spider-Tracers and swing in and out of combat at high speeds is sure to leave your opponents in a frenzy.

2. Hawkeye

Another high-execution pick, Hawkeye is an absolute menace in both close and long-range, given his good mobility, massive DMG per fully charged arrow, and great get-off or close-range finishing move in Crescent Slash. His ability to share his Hunte’s Sight Ultimate with Black Widow can also allow skilled players to perform team-obliterating combos, all while putting fellow duelists in their places.

1. Iron Fist

Every healer’s worst nightmare, Iron Fist stays true to his title as the living weapon of K’un-Lun through his ability to close in fast against both flyers and regular heroes, all while being able to gain health per elimination and block incoming before sending forth a barrage of sure to kill hits with Yat Jee Chunh Kuen. In case that is not enough, he can also fully heal within seconds by performing Harmony Recovery, thus making sure you will be ready for another boult.
