If you’ve already started playing the game, then you’re well aware of what the Season Pass is and what it does. While the global release takes place later on October 11, having the pass allows you to get up to three days of extra play time (we are already into day two of Advanced Access, as Bandai Namco calls it). But that’s not all, as the Season Pass has some really exciting additions coming up in the near future.

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Season Pass rewards explained

The bonus content of the Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Season Pass can be divided into two categories.

  • Three days of extra playtime.
  • Access to over 20 new characters.

You still have plenty of time to enjoy the game ahead of the global launch on October 11 on all available platforms if you grab the Season Pass. If you’re unsatisfied with the already massive roster of 181 characters, the Season Pass will instantly give you access to over 20 new fighters. As of writing, there is no news about which characters will be present in the first batch and when they will be released.

That said, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero and Dragon Ball Daima will have a strong influence on the future introductions of the DLC characters. It’s worth remembering that alternate forms of existing characters are likely going to be considered as new introductions in future DLCs. If you have the Season Pass, you’ll also summon Shenron and have three days of early access to all DLC 1, 2, and 3 fighters.

How to buy Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Season Pass?

As of writing, the only way to get the Season Pass is by owning either the Deluxe Edition or the Ultimate Edition of the game. There’s no standalone purchase available for the players if you own the Standard Edition. Maybe we could get such an option in the future, but for now, you’ll have to shell out more money to get the pass.

Is Dragon Ball Sparking Zero’s Season Pass worth it?

It all depends on if you’re a massive fan of Dragon Ball in general. Right now, there’s no official confirmation about the upcoming DLCs. Any extra money you spend is leaping into the future while keeping your trust in Bandai Namco.

While three days of extra play time is always more enjoyable, there’s no compulsion or disadvantage if you start playing on October 11. You can still enjoy all the content at your own pace and won’t have to miss out on any rewards. While the new characters will expand your collection, let’s not forget that you can already unlock 181 fighters.

If you have the disposable income to spend the extra money, the Season Pass will be worth spending on. If you’re on a tight budget, it’s best to get the Standard Edition of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.
