All available maps and modes in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta

Despite being a limited version, the Black Ops 6 beta offers plenty of unique challenges to tackle for a limited time. So, if you want to know what to expect, here are the available maps and modes during BO6’s Open Beta period.

All Black Ops 6 beta modes

Black Ops 6’s beta is kicking off Weekend Two, which is set to end on Sept. 9. You can look forward to the following playable modes:

While these modes are already a part of Call of Duty, you can experience a new challenge with Kill Order. Teamwork makes the dream work here, where you can farm a ton of XP with HVT eliminations.

Kill Order also features a Face Off variant, turning off Scorestreaks altogether. This particular variation dives into the fast-paced Strike maps, another new addition of Black Ops 6. The 2v2 Gunfight mode should also be arriving sometime soon. This challenge ups the ante through its single-life restriction, making every second count. It’s one of the more balanced modes, as it each Operator spawns in with the same exact loadout.

All Black Ops 6 beta maps

The maps in Black Ops 6 beta are split into Core and Strike categories. Core locations encompass Call of Duty’s standardized 6v6 maps, which typically range from small to medium sizes. Strike maps are much more compact, catering to Face Off’s 6v6 or 2v2 matches. Plus, there’s an additional Training Grounds area for those who need to practice.

Thanks to the player feedback from Weekend One, map spawns have also been improved upon. You won’t have to worry as much about spawning right next to the enemy with the additional entry points. However, you’ll still need to keep your guard up on Strike maps due to their condensed sizes.

Currently, these are the only available maps in Black Ops 6 beta, with another expected to come later on:

To give you a better idea of each map, we’ll break down each of them with pictures.

Babylon

The ancient city of Babylon comes to Black Ops 6’s Weekend Two, featuring climbable columns and various hiding places. It’s a relatively small map, perfect for those who enjoy fast-paced rounds. Many players have indicated that Babylon could be perceived as the new Shipment map, where you’ll need to be on your toes at all times.

Scud

Although Scud was previously removed for Weekend Two, it was re-introduced to give you more ground to cover. In this battleground, you’ll have various points of interest to use, from the cover of the radar dish to the protection of the many trenches.

Protocol

Start your journey with the Protocol map, a perfect place to test out BO6’s newest features without the pressure of other players. Equip one of the new Operators and participate in training missions to master the new Omnimovement. You’ll also see this map appear again in Black Ops 6’s Launch Multiplayer playlist, so look around Protocol to prepare for its full release.

Derelict

In Derelict, you’ll explore a train graveyard in the Appalachian Mountains. Take cover inside the many trains, or get a good vantage point within its buildings.

Rewind

Since Black Ops 6 revolves around the ’90s era, you’ll get to go back in time when videotape stores were all the rage. Head to the Rewind map to check out a part of Zombies’ Liberty Falls location.

Skyline

Live a luxurious life in Skyline, an extravagant resort in the countryside. Battle around its enclosed space and discover its hidden panic room underneath.

Gala

It’s time to go into the heart of Washington, D.C., with the Gala 6v6 map. You won’t have many hiding places, but you can always take cover near the bar and campaign stand.

Pit

While the Black Ops 6 beta maps generally take place outside, the Pit is one of the few that goes deep underground. Look out for some ladders in this mining tunnel to get a nice vantage point.

Stakeout will be the last map added to the Black Ops 6 beta, bringing us over to Avalon’s Mediterranean region. Since it’s a Strike map, you won’t have much room to work with, but you can try to hide in places like the kitchen, bedroom, or living room.

The map doesn’t have a concrete release date yet, so we’ll need to wait it out a bit more. If it’s anything like Weekend One, it should arrive in the next day or so as more updates are gradually added.
