All Arkasodara Tribal Quests in FFXIV

The first Tribe to be added to Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker was the Arkasodara. They’re based in Thavnair and are a tribe for your battle classes. Here’s everything you need to know about all of the Arkasodara ranking up quests, how to access them and the rewards they give.

Ranking up with the Arkasodara

In order to access the Endwalker Tribal Alliance quests coming in patch 6.55, you need to reach maximum rank (Bloodsworn) with not only the Arkasodara but also the Lopporits and the Omicrons as well. 

Daily quests for the Arkasodara are picked up by talking to Maru (X20.1 Y27.9) at their base of operations, Svarna, in Thavnair. You’ll need to complete three quests a day to gain that all-important reputation. All of these quests are level 80 and can be completed using any Disciple of War or Magic class. 

It’s worth noting that once you max out a rank, you’ll have the opportunity to do three more quests, even if you’ve already completed three that day. On this note, if handing in two quests will max out your rank, save the third quest until after you’ve done the ranking up quest, as it will be wasted if you hand it in before. 

To check your reputation, open your character profile and click “Reputation”, selecting “Endwalker” from the drop-down menu on the right. 

Friendly – Hippos Born to Run

This is the first quest and unlocks the Arkasodara Tribal questline. Here’s a brief rundown of what you need to do in order to complete “Hippos Born to Run”.

Before you can accept this quest, there are some requirements which need to be met:

• Have at least one battle class at level 80 or above
• Complete the Main Scenario Quest called “Endwalker”
• Completed a split chain of sidequests culminating with “A Budding Adventure”

Once you’ve met these requirements, travel to Thavnair and find Kancana (X25.3 Y31.2) to pick up “Hippos Born to Run”. 

The quest itself is not too difficult, but it does involve the use of a Hippo Cart, so there’s that.  

Once you’ve been back and forth between Yedlihmad and The Great Work a couple of times, talk to Trna (X19.8 Y27.8) to hand in this quest and unlock the Arkasodara Tribal quests.

Here’s what you get for completing this quest:

• Experience (relative to your level)
• 1,495 Gil
• Reputation increased to Friendly
• “Hasty Hasty Hippos I” achievement 

Trusted – A Pachyderm’s Promptitude

The second quest of the Arkasodara’s storyline has you aiding alchemists, fending off a feisty Vajralangula and delivering packages to familiar faces. To pick up this quest, speak to Trna (X19.9, Y27.6) in Thavnair. 

There are several steps to this quest which include travelling all over Thavnair:

• Head to The Great Work and interact with the Rendezvous Point (X12.1 Y21.9)
• Locate Trna (X14.1 Y19.3) in a combat circle and defeat the Vajralangula before assisting the Injured Alchemist
• Head back to The Great Work and talk to the Flustered Alchemist (X11.0 Y23.2)
• While accompanied by Trna, talk to three NPCs:
  • Lethargic Alchemist (X10.3 Y23.7)
  • Intense Alchemist (X10.4 Y21.9)
  • Wild-eyed Alchemist (X11.9 Y21.2)
• Speak with the Flustered Alchemist again
• Speak with Yezahn (X29.5 Y17.1) in Palaka’s Stand

Once you’ve completed all of these steps, head back to Svarna and talk to Trna. This will complete the second Arkasodara quest. 

Here’s what you get rewarded for your efforts:

• Experience (relative to your level)
• 1,535 Gil
• Reputation increased to Trusted
• “Hasty Hasty Hippos II” achievement
• Wind-up Arkasodara minion available from Ghanta

Respected – Hippo Healing

The third quest in the Arkasodara storyline has you playing babysitter to some baby Hippos. To unlock this quest, talk to Trna at the Arkasodara headquarters in Thavnair. 

Of course, there are a few steps to this quest. Here they are:

• Speak with Trna (X29.5 Y12.2)
• Look out for suspicious activity and defeat enemies in the following locations:
  • (X26.7 Y13.0)
  • (X25.7 Y11.1) 
  • (X24.0 Y12.7)
• Talk to the Energetic Hippo Calf and accompany them back to Trna 
• Accompany the Hippo Calves to Palakas Stand and talk to Trna (X29.1 Y16.2) again

Once you’ve completed all of the steps, return to Svarna and talk to Trna again. This will complete the quest. 

Rewards for completing this quest:

• Experience (relative to your level)
• 1,255 Gil
• Reputation increased to Honored
• Stuffed Cinduruva available from Ghanta
• Gajasura Triple Triad Card available from Ghanta

Honored – Defiant Ogul, Deified!

This is the fourth quest in the Arkasodara Tribal quest line and it has you doing what battle classes do best – fighting. To pick up this quest, talk to Trna in Thavnair. 

To complete this quest, there are a few things you have to do:

• Speak with Ogul (X29.6 Y12.2) 
• Survey the following areas and defeat any enemies that appear
  • (X25.4 Y12.6)
  • (X25.0 Y13.5)
• Rendezvous with Ogul and Trna (X24.3 Y16.7)
• Speak with Ogul again

When you’ve done all of this, head back to Svarna and talk to Trna to complete the quest. 

Here’s the list of rewards for finishing this quest:

• Experience (relative to your level)
• 1,135 Gil
• Reputation increased to Honored
• “Hasty Hasty Hippos III” achievement
• Stuffed Sanduruva available from Ghanta
• Minduruva available from Ghanta

Sworn – Leader to Leader

The fourth quest in the Arkasodara questline will see the Warrior of Light acting as a referee for a Hippo Cart race to decide the fate of Svarna. To pick up this quest, talk to Trna in Thavnair. 

As is expected by now with the Arkasodara, there are a few things to do in order to complete this quest:

• Survey the following locations and defeat any enemies that may appear:
  • (X19.3 Y25.1)
  • (X16.4 Y25.0)
  • (X20.3 Y22.8)
• Report to Trna (X20.3 Y29.0)
• Speak to Trna again
• Talk to Acala (X24.9 Y33.8) in Yedlihmad
• Speak with Trna 
• Stand by at the finish line of the race

Once you’ve officiated the Hippo race of the century – perhaps the only one – talk to Trna again at Svarna to finish this quest. 

Here’s the rewards you’re given:

• Experience (relative to your level)
• 1,455 Gil
• Reputation increased to Sworn
• “Ride or Die” achievement
• “Hippo Hero” title
• Hippo Cart Horn available from Ghanta

Bloodsworn – The Hippo Riders

The final quest in the Arkasodara questline is considerably shorter than its predecessors, though it includes some glowing praise for Trna and her efforts at Svarna. To pick up the last quest, talk to Trna at Svarna.

To complete this quest, complete the following steps:

• Wait for Kancana in Svarna
• Speak to Trna

And that’s it! You’ve completed all of the quests for the Arkasodara!

Here’s the final round of rewards:

• 695 Gil
• Reputation increased to Bloodsworn
• Arkasodara Framer’s Kit available from Ghanta
• Hippo Ridin’ Orchestrion Roll available from Ghanta
