Call of Duty Warzone and Modern Warfare 2’s DMZ game mode is full of neat features like the ability to craft your own equipment through the Barter system. Some of the most fascinating parts of this are the 3-plate vests you can make. Here are all of the 3-plate recipes from DMZ and what each one of them does.

How to make all 3-plate vest recipes in DMZ

There are four vest recipes in total that you can make. All of them offer players three armor slots, instead of the usual two, plus an extra bonus effect. Not all vests will work for every player, so be sure to see which one works best for you and how to make it below.

Once you have the required materials, head to any nearby buy station and select the Barter option. There, you’ll be able to instantly exchange the materials for the preferred vest.

3-plate comms vest recipe explained

Here is the recipe you need to use to make the 3-plate comms vest in DMZ:

  • 1 soothing hand cream
  • 2 batteries
  • 2 hard drives

This vest is one of the best and among my personal favorites. What it does is enhance all UAVs you use in the game. They will last longer, act like Advanced UAVs, and even give you an audio cue whenever there is an enemy squad near you.

  • 1 liquor bottle
  • 1 watch
  • 3 bandages

With this vest, you’ll have faster self-revives so you can get back into the fight much faster. In addition, you’ll be able to revive your downed teammates a lot quicker than usual. Not the most useful of the vests, but it might be worth considering for at least one player on your team.

  • 1 comic book
  • 1 game console
  • 2 electrical components

This vest is unavailable on Ashika Island. It acts like the classic Ghost perk in a way, letting the player be unseen by UAVs. If you worry about a lot of players with comms vest—which you should—this can help counter that. In addition, firing any weapon, including ones without suppression, will not show up for other players on the minimap or radar.

Tempered plate vest recipe

  • 1 classified document
  • 1 sensitive document
  • 2 documents

Keep in mind that the tempered vest is unavailable on the Al Mazrah map. This armored vest has two plates instead of the usual three max. However, it still gives you 150HP of protection, but the difference is you only have to use two armor plates instead of three to fully protect yourself.

This saves you both time and armor plates in the long run, making it one of the more popular vest recipes.
