You can play it now on iOS and Android
It’s a great time to own a 3DS, or any handheld, really. But there’s about to be positive deluge of awesome 3DS titles headed to retail shelves, and Adventure Bar Story is one I’m hoping to see with it. It’s headed to Japan for the 3DS via the Nintendo eShop, but there’s hope it could come Stateside as well.
RideOn Japan’s tavern simulation/role-playing game finds you taking control of Kamerina’s Bar, where your tavern is threatened by Gustav, a hard-as-nails businessman who wants to buy out your bar. What will you do to stop him? You make sure your bar is better without his cold, hard cash, of course.
But to run a successful bar, you need the materials to do so. So, like any self-sufficient bar owner, you head out into the world and kill monsters in order to find new ingredients and improve your bar’s overall ranking. It’s a bit of fresh air that your party and the sole purpose of fighting is actually for food and whatnot, so if you dig snacking you’ll probably want to check this quirky little RPG out.
It’s available right now in English for iOS and Android if you want to give it a try. Hopefully that fact is enough to push RideOn Games to localize a 3DS release as well.
