During the 2024 Nintendo Direct live stream, Gameloft announced a new in-game event for Disney Dreamlight Valley that features camping, new quests, and marshmallow plants. Following an ever-growing mystery of how to make marshmallows in the game’s Dapper Delights update, we now finally have an answer. Disney Dreamlight Valley’s camping event, the End of Summer event, will arrive on September 4, 2024.
During the few-second snippet shown during the showcase, we caught glimpses of the protagonist, our playable character, harvesting a marshmallow plant and using it to cook s’mores. We also see our character giving roasted marshmallows to multiple characters, confirming that these two recipes will arrive in the game. Although not explicitly confirmed in the trailer, we can also assume Default Sludge will become craftable during this event.
The trailer also highlights some themed furniture you can craft, with a cute yellow camping chair and a large campfire being among the bunch. While there are no specifics on how many items the event will add, we’ll probably unlock some through quests similar to Remy’s Bon Appetit missions and limited-time Dreamlight Duties.
Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Dapper Delights update from August 21 also featured two Dreamlight Duties that this event will solve. These two tasks, Share Some Sweetness and Savor Some Sweetness, will have you cooking and eating marshmallows during the event, giving you two opportunities to get extra clothes and furniture.
Disney Dreamlight Valley’s End of Summer event will be available to play from September 4 to 26 on all platforms.
