A Fortnite Futurama crossover is confirmed: here’s all the details

Fortnite is no stranger to hosting crossover events, and with the revival of Futurama live on Hulu this week, Philip J. Fry and company are going to take the opportunity to zoom into the Fortnite universe. Teased on Twitter, the event seemingly will involve Mega City and the iconic Hypnotoad character: which you’ve probably seen at some point in your life, even if you don’t follow the show.

Everything we know about the Futurama x Fortnite crossover

By way of a July 25 Twitter tease, the memorable Planet Express ship (Old Bessie) crashed into a Hypnotoad billboard in Mega City with the following message:

“ALL HAIL HYPNOTOAD. 7.26.23.”

The official Fortnite YouTube channel set a premiere date set for 5AM ET on July 26, where we learned more about what the crossover actually entails.

Benderā€™s Shiny Metal Raygun also made it intoĀ Fortnite as an in-game weapon.

As far as events go, this crossover is pretty tame/boilerplate. Unlike the massive weeks-long/separate battle pass Star Wars event this past season, thisĀ Futurama crossover is mostly cosmetic, with a small weapon addition amid a few other vaulted/un-vaulted cyclical armory changes.
