This feature was added earlier when the game was still in its alpha stage, and they altered the way certain characters work. Not every character has an Aspect of writing, and you’ll have to select carefully which ones you want to use.

Let’s first take a look at all the available Aspects in SMITE 2, and how you can use them efficiently.

All Aspects in SMITE 2

Here’s the complete list of all the Aspects available in SMITE 2 as of writing, along with their in-game effects.

GodAspect
AnhurAspect of Pride: Dealing damage to same enemy with Basic Attacks will provide you with 100% Attack Speed. Enfeeble no longer debuffs enemies.
AthenaAspect of War: Defender of Olympus will target visible enemies instead of allies, and cause the enemy to take more damage while Athena is channeling.
BacchusAspect of Revelry: Your in-hand attacks will cleave and deal extra damage after using Chug, and it scales up with Strength instead of Protections.
BellonaAspect of Vindication: Whenever you gain Block stacks with Sword and Shield or Heal from Scourge, nearby allied gods will get the benefits. Bludgeon no longer deals Final Slam damage.
CernunnosAspect of Strife: Basic Attacks stop firing projectiles, but do more damage, cleave, and apply Shifter of Seasons effects to all enemies. Horn Charge’s cooldown is reduced if you hit an enemy God.
ChaacAspect of Fulmination: Rain Dance will damage enemies stuck in the area.
CupidAspect of Love: Heart Bomb’s damage is decreased, but enemies hit by it will have lesser Attack Speed, and explosion area will also heal allies. Gain a Health Shield at eight stacks of Lovestruck allies.
DanzaburouAspect of Fellowship: Alluring Spirits will spawn two clones. All clones deal more damage and takes less damage.
FenrirAspect of Loyalty: Nerfs Brutalize’s damage, but applies a stacking Slow. Seething Howl’s buff effects are also decreased, but applies to all allies in an area around him.
GebAspect of Calamity: Shockwave deals full damage in a circular area and cooldown is reduced for every enemy hit.
HecateAspect of Ruin: Spell Eater can’t be refired. It reduces enemy ability damage, and a projectile lands at an enemy location and explodes if they cast an ability.
HerculesAspect of Preservation: Mitigate Wounds won’t heal based on damage taken or buff attack speed. You’ll gain a stack whenever nearby allied gods take damage from Basic Attacks. These stacks will be used to heal your nearby gods.
KhepriAspect of Laceration: Instead of pulling enemy gods, Abduct will root them in a place, dealing constant Basic Attack Damage.
LokiAspect of Concealment: Instead of enemy Debuffs, Vanish will instead stealth you and the nearest ally god.
MordredAspect of Rage: Shoulder Charge will pass through enemies, and deal damage. Damaging an enemy god with an ability will also reset its cooldown.
NeithAspect of Wind: Broken Weave explosions won’t root enemies. Attack Speed gained will be higher, and World Weave will provide stacks of Broken Weave.
NemesisAspect of Justice: Divine Judgement will average your and the enemy god’s current health if you have less.
RaAspect of Thermotherapy: Solar Blessing and Searing’s damage won’t scale up, but you can place the former on allied gods. Searing Pain will heal allies who have taken damage.
ThanatosAspect of Reaping: Havester of Souls won’t heal Thanatos, but it provides a permanent boost to maximum health. Soul Reap also deals bonus damage, and heals Thanatos based on maximum health.
The MorriganAspect of Mischief: Confusion can be refired, and swaps you with the position of your clone.

How to use Aspects in SMITE 2

An Aspect, put simply, is a passive skill that has to be activated before the start of a match. It will be available at the starting screen of a match, right next to your available skins. You’ll have to select your character first and then decide if you want to activate the passive skill or not.

It’s not necessary to use an Aspect even if it’s available for your chosen God. If you do decide to use it, a small icon will indicate that your character skills and abilities will be different from their base versions. What’s interesting is the fact that your enemies will also be able to see if you have activated an Aspect or not.

This certainly creates a unique gameplay opportunity that will also affect your chosen builds. Right now, the currently available options are slightly limited. As the open beta rolls on and the final release date gets closer, I am expecting to find more options.
