Which is the best bait to catch the Treble Bass in Fisch?

The best bait to catch the Treble Bass would be the Magnet, and the best place to find it is in the waters around Moosewood. The Magnet bait can be easily found even in common crates, along with the more elusive Bait crates. You can also be gifted some Magnet bait if you complete at least five of the quests by the Angler NPC.

What is the best rod to catch the Treble Bass?

Since this fish is quite fast and moves in an unpredictable way, you will need a rod that can counter all of that. For example, you can use the Arctic Rod, as it will grant you a 15% Resilience stat, plus a 0.25 control boost which will make it slightly easier not to be caught by surprise by the movements of the Bass. But it’s not easy to find.

Otherwise, if you are not very advanced in the game, you might think about using the Steady Rod which can be obtained by the merchant at Roslit Bay for a mere 7000C$ and will bring you the necessary dose of resilience and control to handle the elusive Treble Bass.

Best strategy to catch the Treble Bass

As mentioned, the best place to start your hunt for the Treble Bass is in Moosewood, specifically the small Pirate island in front of the pier. The fish can be caught at any time during the day and in any weather conditions, so you don’t have to worry about that. You can tell if you’ve hooked one by the shimmering sound that will play, additionally, a question mark, all in gaudy rainbow color, will appear above your character’s head.

The Treble Bass will not be caught easily, as it is quite a rare catch and will move erratically across the player bar when you get one. Additionally, while you’re trying to catch it, you will be penalized with a -50% progress speed decrease.

While it might not be the easiest fish to catch, it is worth trying as getting one will net you 1200 XP, and that’s not all. On average, the Treble Bass weighs around 2.5 kilograms and will bring you quite a hefty profit, as it can be sold for 2444C$.
