The host of Marvel Rivals can throw down, too

The daughter of Galactus is Marvel Snap’s battle pass card for the month, and she’s kind of incredible. We’ve had a lot of time with her, and we’ve got some solid deck ideas for anyone interested in taking advantage of her cosmic powers to climb the ranks. Infinite might just be within reach!

Nobody wants to think about what Galactus did to get a daughter, so let’s talk about what she can do! She’s a 4-cost card with 6 Power, and she gives +3 Power to the first card you play at other locations every turn. The obvious strategy here is to get her out as early as possible and make sure to play another card at other locations every turn. Keep in mind that this includes the turn you play her.

Deck 1: Higher, Further, Faster

Two cards from Marvel Snap. Angela says "After you play a card here, +1 Power" Kitty Pryde says "When this returns to your hand, +1 Power. Returns at the start of each turn."

This deck is currently the #5 top-performing deck in Snap, so it’s worth looking at. This deck focuses on cards that take advantage of Galacta’s unique ability, and there are some really interesting combos here. You can see Angela in a lane to get powered up as you play cards like Kitty Pryde every turn. Once Galcta is down, Kitty will get a huge boost every time you play her in another lane, taking up that +3. Hope Summers, Kitty, and Angela can help you generate some serious Power and Energy. And giving Captain Marvel +3 just helps ensure she’ll be a powerful tool to end in a lane that wins you the game. Your cards are:

  • Kitty Pryde
  • Hydra Bob
  • Angela
  • Jeff
  • Peni Parker
  • Juggernaut
  • Red Guardian
  • Hope Summers
  • Shang-Chi
  • Captain Marvel
  • Galacta
  • Gwenpool

Deck 2: Meta Surfer

Two cards from Marvel Snap, Zabu and Silver Surfer. Zabu says "Give each 4-cost card in your deck -1 Cost." Silver Surfer says "On Reveal: Give your other 3-Cost cards +2 Power"

The Silver Surfer has been the center of a fun deck-type since he joined in the early days of Snap, and Galacta is doing him some strong favors. This deck currently has a 57% win rate, making it highly competitive. Using Galacta to buff Brood is a great move, and Absorbing man can double that move. Hope Summers keeps things running a little cheaper. Sebastian Shaw is a monster with Silver Surfer and Galacta buffs both triggering his own ability. If you don’t have Hope Summers, remember that Sera is a great card for any Silver Surfer deck.

  • Zabu
  • Forge
  • Cassandra Nova
  • Brood
  • Silver Surfer
  • Juggernaut
  • Hope Summers
  • Sebastian Shaw
  • Copycat
  • Asorbing Man
  • Galacta
  • Gwenpool

Deck 3: Symbiosis

Two cards from Marvel Snap, Nimrod and Black Panther. Nimrod says "When this is destroyed, add a copy to each other location." Black Panther says "On Reveal: Double this card's Power"

This deck will keep your foes guessing until the very end! Once more, the goal is to keep Galacta in a lane and play other cards elsewhere. There are a couple of goals here, which makes this deck very flexible. Galacta can be used to empower a lane until Papa Galactus comes in to destroy the others, promising a strong single-lane victory. You can also use Galacta to create a powerful Nimrod or Black Panther. Use Madame Web to put them in their own lane and have Arnim Zola chow down to create even more powerful duplicates everywhere. Nico Minoru makes a decent replacement for Nebula if that’s what you’re into. Carnage and Venom are good alternatives if Arnim refuses to show his digital face while also being great ways to clear popular clutter-makers like Debrii and the goblins.

  • Nebula
  • Madame Web
  • Carnage
  • Magik
  • Venom
  • Shuri
  • Galacta
  • Symbiote Spider-Man
  • Black Panther
  • Nimrod
  • Arnim Zola
  • Galactus

Deck 4: Multiplication Tables

Two cards from Marvel Snap, Brood and Mister Sinister. Brood says "On Reveal: "On Reveal: Add 2 Broodlings here with the same power" Mr. Sinister says "On Reveal: Add a Sinister Clone here with the same power.

One type of deck focuses on making the best of Galacta’s ability to empower cards that self-multiply. Some of the cards in here are just powerful tools when used with similar ideas, like Sebastian Shaw. Zabu helps you get Galacta a turn earlier while also making Absorbing Man and Gwenpool cheaper. Patriot, Okoye, Nakia, and Absorbing Man are great tools for helping buff your deck, hand, and the duplicates created by Brood and Mister Sinister.

  • America Chavez
  • Zabu
  • Mister Sinister
  • Okoye
  • Patriot
  • Brood
  • Silver Surfer
  • Nakia
  • Sebastian Shaw
  • Absorbing Man
  • Galacta
  • Gwenpool

Deck 5: Lane Solo

A deck list featuring Namor

The goal for this deck is to take advantage of solo lane cards like Namor and Orka. Zabu and Psylocke help get Galacta out sooner, and Magik ensures you get another turn to use her. Peni Parker is a great space filler who can move out of the way with SP//dr, leaving your lanes free for the big guys. Ideally, you’ll have Namor and Orka each in a lane by themselves, with Namora and Galacta buffing them. Absorbing Man and Wong are for Namora’s Power to buff people in their own lanes, and Hulk Buster is good to add Power while keeping lanes clear.

This deck can be easily thwarted by cards like Green Goblin and Debrii, so adding in a form of clearing your side won’t be a bad idea. Consider Annihilus or Viper to bounce negative cards back to your opponent, or Carnage to clear them.

  • Zabu
  • Psylocke
  • Hulk Buster
  • Peni Parker
  • Magik
  • Venom
  • Wong
  • Absorbing Man
  • Galacta
  • Namor
  • Namora
  • Orka

Build Your Own

While these are some great ideas, you might want to start theorycrafting your own Galacta deck. There are a few helpful things to keep in mind! For one, Galacta works best when you can get her out earlier. Tools like Zabu are great for this, but also consider Psylocke, who can give you the Energy to pull Galacta on turn 3. Shuri into Black Panther just gets that much stronger. Consider these types of cards for companions.

She goes great with her dad but keeps an eye out for punishes like Shang Chi. Make sure to have some kind of backup plan or destruction security like Armor. The Shadow King seems to be gaining some popularity in higher-performing decks, and it is likely to counter decks exactly like this. This makes Cosmo especially dangerous – he won’t stop Galacta and her ability, but he’ll keep other cards like Black Panther from doing their job.
