Fortunately, though, unlocking the boss can be considered way easier than facing it for the first time. Here’s how to unlock and find the Golden Wolflord in Genshin Impact, as well as how to defeat it.

How to Find and Unlock the Golden Wolflord in Genshin Impact

After reaching Inazuma, you will be able to face the Golden Wolflord boss in Genshin Impact by interacting with a dimensional rift located in the lowest portion of Tsurumi Island, more specifically in the spot shown in the image below. Unlike most areas, however, you won’t be able to explore the island, and thus reach the boss, from the get-go. Instead, you will need to first complete the Through the Mists World Quest.

How to Unlock the Through the Mists World Quest

You can unlock the Through the Mists World Quest in Genshin Impact by talking to Katheryne on Inazuma City after completing the Seirai Stormchasers World Quest series. If you haven’t yet, you will trigger Seirai Stormchasers during your first visit to the Inazuma Adventurer’s Guild headquarters.

How to Defeat the Golden Wolflord

Although a tough foe given his ability to bypass shields, the fight against the Golden Wolflord can be considered extremely straightforward until you lower his health to -70%, which will prompt the boss to shield himself and enter his Elemental Devourer state. Once that happens, you must then make use of elemental applications to destroy the three wolf tokens scattered across the arena to stun the boss and remove its shield.

To make defeating the boss easier, I recommend hyper-focusing on dealing damage from the get-go with either a top-tier or ranged DPS —such as Hu Tao, Arlecchino, Neuvillette, Tighnari, or Ganyu— to either immediately kill the enemy or force it into it’s Elemental Devourer state quickly. If you lack the damage for the job, focus on dodging and only go on the offensive after the wolf performs his tornado or rushing attack, both of which will leave the boss stunned and open for damage.

Once the boss enters his Elemental Devourer state, we will then make use of a Geo character capable of fast elemental application to quickly destroy the tokens. Now, the boss will be stunned, so go all out and brace yourself for a second round. If you are looking for the ideal Geo unit to destroy the tokens, you cannot go wrong with Noelle, who can also counter corrosion while in Sweeping Time. Using Ningguang or Navia can also work great given their Geo-infused normals.

Apart from the usual EXP and Mora rewarded by defeating all World Bosses, defeating the Golden Wolflord and touching its Trounce Blossom will net you a set amount of Topaz pieces, one to four 4 to 5-star artifact pieces, and a few Riftborn Regalias. As usual, the rarity of the artifact pieces received and the number and rarity of the ascension materials dropped will be directly related to your World Level. For example, those above World Level 8 can expect to get around three Riftborn Regalias per attempt. You will need a total of 46 regalias each to raise Itto and Yun Jin to level 90,
