How to unlock the Raven Balmung Sword in Black Ops 6 Zombies

What's your sign?

The Raven is quite possibly the hardest to acquire out of all the Wonder Weapon swords. This tool, in particular, requires an artifact and a unique code to unlock. We’re here to show you how to get the Raven Balmung Sword in Black Ops 6 Zombies.

How to get Raven Sword in BO6 Zombies

The Balmung (Raven’s Shadow) Sword allows you to use the powers of the Aetherial abyss, warping nearby enemies. For a quick overview, here’s the steps you need to take to get the Raven Sword in BO6 Zombies:

  1. Get a Stamp
  2. Interact with the Knight with the raven (F1 coordinates)
  3. Go to the Alchemical Lab area (to the left of the room with the Knights)
  4. Pick up the Antiquity in the Alchemical Lab (will appear as either a rock with fish, rock with scorpion, horn, two raven skulls, or jaw)
  5. Go to the Tavern’s basement (spawn area) at E6 coordinates
  6. Interact with the circular structure on the wall to place the Raven’s Bastard Sword
  7. Turn the structure’s dials, matching what Antiquity you have (more on this later)
  8. If correct, orbs will spawn out
  9. Guide three orbs to the portal on their ground
  10. Repeat the last step two more times around the Tavern
  11. Return to the basement and interact with the circular structure
  12. Pick up the Raven Sword (Balmung)

Like all the elemental swords, you must get the Bastard Sword from the Knight statues near the Vulture Aid Perk. Make sure to interact with the Raven one.

You could use the sword as is, but this base version won’t do much for you. Thus, you’ll need to upgrade it by finding the Antiquity.

All Antiquity locations in BO6 Zombies

The Antiquity’s exact location will be randomized, but it always spawns in the same room: the Alchemical Lab (E1 coordinates). If you’re still in the area with the Knights, go inside the room on the left side. Now, you’ll need to look for the Antiquity, which will change forms for each playthrough. You can find the following Antiquties at these potential spots (pictures will be below this list):

  • Rock with fish: On the shelf in the top-right corner of the room
  • Rock with scorpion: Table with the globe on the right side
  • Jaw: On a shelf in the top-left corner
  • Two raven skulls: On the same shelf as the jaw
  • Horn: On the shelf in the bottom-right corner. Next to the table with the colorful elemental sign.

I’ve done multiple playthroughs, and these five seem to be the only Antiquities in the game. If you aren’t sure what you’re looking for, here’s a breakdown of each location:

Each item typically has a white dot over it, so if you see something with this in the Alchemical Lab, it’s probably an Antiquity.

How to use Antiquity in BO6 Zombies

To use it, go to the Tavern’s basement near spawn. You can find the entrance on the stairs to the right of the Tavern.

You’ll see a circular structure there that can harness your Raven’s Bastard Sword. Interact with it to place down you Antiquity and sword.

All Raven Sword Antiquity combinations in BO6 Zombies

Once you’ve placed the sword in the structure, input two correct symbols with a zodiac sign and element on the bottom (where the pointer is). The two symbols you need to enter correlate with the Antiquity you found. For instance, the rock with fish translates to the Pisces symbol, which also has a fish symbol. This part is confusing, but fortunately, Reddit user ImEasterEgg narrowed down the correct input for all artifacts. Here’s what they are :

If you’re successful in the Raven Sword combination, a bunch of orbs will start to spawn out.

What to do with the orbs in Raven Sword quest

When you’ve entered a successful Raven Sword combination, lure the three orbs to the portal on the ground. The portal should spawn to the right of the circular structure.

The portal will then close up and move on to the next one. Follow the glowing orb to see where the following target is. It shouldn’t be too far, as it will stick within the radius of the Tavern. For mine, it went to the main bar area upstairs.

Repeat the process of luring three orbs to the portal, and do it again with the final one. The third one will likely appear on the upper floor with the pool table.

With all three portals filled, return to the circular structure in the basement. Interact with it, and the Balmung Wonder Weapon should spawn out.
